His long-term strategy has been obvious since the 90s, when he accused Rabin of being a traitor for negotiating for peace, and stirred up so much animosity that Rabin got assassinated. He and Likud have been demonstrating their long-term strategy for 30 years, and now, after doing everything he can to instigate and provoke, he's taking his final step. Why is this such a mystery to everyone?

Imagine being a Bibi supporters. Gantz realizes what a blunder Bibi did. He ruined Israel's image. The entire world literally hates Israel now. Even Israel's closest allies are fed up with it.
