this video probably would’ve been out 2-3 weeks earlier if editing wasn’t absolute torture. this is my first time working with a green screen for a video and as you can see it is quite literally rough around the edges. i kinda sound like a hypocrite for critiquing the show’s use of green screen now 🥴 i had to re-film the intro and book 1 since the green screen wasn’t properly ironed out, then re-dub books 2 and 3 since my mic wasn’t working. then the audio files kept DELETING themselves so i actually had to do it multiple times. again, it’s a bit rough around the edges. it’s also why i didn’t notice until after the video was exported that at 3:58 i missed a spot to rerecord. it’s silent when it should have been the line “however, i do have an issue with how often they show [ozai], but i’ll get to that later.” i also realized at 18:48 i make it sound like the last airbender’s casting would’ve been justified if 9/11 didn’t happen, but i meant to say that it is distasteful, ESPECIALLY in a post-9/11 world, so i apologize for that. all of this made me more frustrated than the show itself but i tried my best, so i hope you all still enjoy the video. and you should stick around for the veryyyy end for a lil kalimba concert by yours truly :)
Video creation is hell, let alone doing it on top of all of life’s other responsibilities. The amount of dedication you put into videos is insane and you pump out more quality and consistency than most full-time creators on this site. Don’t think that work goes unnoticed.
Fashion Overview: Love your ATLA outfits; my favorite is your water tribe dress🌊! It's one of a kind! Second favorite, the Yin-Yang spirit fish, button-down shirt. Can you tell I like blue? You know what, you should have started (intro) and ended (outro) with the same sweatshirt to bring your outfit reel to full circle. With that said, I think the last outfit (mostly black) stood out against the bright colors from the show so mission accomplished. ATLA Overview: Yeah, they just need to stop. I wasn't disappointed with Netflix adaptation because I had zero expectations especially after watching M. Night Shyamalan's abomination. I hope they don't release anymore seasons of it, and just move on to ATLA animation with the characters as adults. Or if they make any more live-action, then use the comics instead.
I can already tell this is gonna be a GOOD video. Y'know, I'm not the biggest fan of the original show, I think it's great and not much else. However, I have seen clips of the live action and I've been hesitant to check it out. Let's see what you've got to say!
