@@hannahwilliams5681 they cancel a well loved show after 2 seasons to get more money so they can make new shows to draw in new viewers they think people won't cancel their subscriptions
Hannah Williams they actually cancel the shows that are not making enough money If a million people make noise on Twitter you would think it’s a 100 million people watching it but in reality for a show to be sustainable the number of people watching it has to be twice twice the budget. So a $50 million show needs a 100 million people That’s what the CEO said
plus all the spin off shows that would happen Leslie on a Moped Getting Milk, Leslie in a Winebago Taking the Dog for a Grooming, Leslie in a Roadster Getting Some Fries at the Drive Thru & so on & so on
Random but at 0:45 Heidi says “this show is about a girl names Ginny” and now there is a Netflix show called Ginny and Georgia... clearly Netflix took this skit seriously
Too many things competing for our time and eyeballs. I generally watch my top fifty or so favorite movies in a rotation and add a new movie when feasible. Lately, for example, I added The Highwaymen (2019) and Hubie Halloween which is new this year.
Yeah, Netflix used to be better than cable channels in this regard but they're getting just as bad. They're dropping many good shows/movies that aren't theirs, doing more of their own shows, and filling in the rest with a shit ton of awful junk most people don't want to watch. There are so many crappy horror movies on it now, ton of Indian films, etc.
@@omikes4540 they have a bad recommendations system. They think theyre algorithm is way smarter than it is. You'd think they'd have different browsing collections the way Spotify does for music. My recommendation is to Google for things to watch on netflix and there are sites that show you different categories of their content. I took the time to recommend this to you because I know that feel. That's why 2018 robots can't replace intellectually engaged, empathatic humans.
@@AC8X I support creators, but NOT Netflix fighting against a parody that perfectly captures the TRUTH--under the First Amendment just like how Trump can't take a joke when ALL presidents get parodied; if they can't take a little satire, they shouldn't put themselves in the public spotlight! If the parody weren't so spot on, it wouldn't be so funny--and popular. If they REALLY want to combat this parody, they should pay attention to how their business practices are perceived by customers and FIX the problem. I'm sick of being inundated with endless scrolls of content that isn't even attuned to the kinds of things I like (like Amazon has figured out how to do) when all I want to do is get to my list of things I already chose to watch that I never have time for because as soon as I open Netflix, I'm swamped with new content, most of it I'm not interested in, while they make it hard to get to your existing list. Meanwhile, the stuff I already had on my list is being deleted. And it's true that they keep adding more content before you're even done looking at all the stuff on the login screen!
The endless amount of content isn’t the problem, it’s Netflix’s UI and machine learning logic that needs to get better. It recommends the same things, even if you’ve already watched it and creates new recommendations based on content you watched last, even if it was just for five minutes
You can go into your account and delete stuff you've watched so they 1 - remove it from your "continue watching" list and 2 - stop recommending stuff based on it. I forget exactly where (you can google it, obviously), something like "user account" "viewer activity"?
@@louisbourbon8973 Algorithm? They actually HAVE an algorithm? The stuff they recommend isn't remotely similar to stuff I've already liked. They need to hire an ex-Amazon programmer to do it right! (I'm not a fan of Amazon, but they DO have the algorithm right. Maybe if they got paid based on which of their recommendations you actually watch, they might have an incentive to improve their customer experience.) Totally agree with you, @Phanez The Finesse (LOL), and @Patty J. Ayers!!!
This is spot on. Netflix would be even more impressive if half of its content was watchable. I love some of its shows don’t get me wrong but there’s some questionable junk too.
Yeah, I have no idea why they cancelled it, it's objectively one of the best shows ever created, the massive character development and the sense in everything... Supernatural is incomparable and it went on for FIFTEEN pointless seasons.
Only one lady watches Kennymeade Depot. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I have clicked on a show out of curiosity and wondered who in the world would watch multiple seasons of this. Now we know. It's. Ruth. Could be true since they don't release ratings.
A netflix ad played before this video and when the video started I genuinely kept looking for skip ad button for the first 20 seconds thinking that "we have gone crazy" was part of the ad.
Completely agree...I’ve watched movies that were so awful I couldn’t believe they were on Netflix. There is very little good content, but they seem to be making a ton of money.
Actually they legally had to stop making marvel shows thanks to Disney's streaming service. Disney owns Marvel so they have control over who uses the content. And because Disney is coming out with their own streaming service they want to put all the marvel shows and movies on their.
@@kaiyabou They have a contract with Disney, they licenced their property to Netflix. It's possible that they gave them $$$ to stop producing them tho.
Most Netflix content isn't on the scroll. They just repeat the same things on every scroll line. Just type random words into search to find something. Just watched Altered Carbon again, hold the dark, and The Night Comes for us(Indonesian).
@@titoskywalker89 wow you seem really smart and fun. Are you Luke Skywalker's son? I bet that makes you super cool. Can we be friends? I bet you would be super fun at a party.
That last sentence is so true though. I'm honestly terrified at how much (good) content there is in form of movies, tv shows, series, podcasts, video games, books, audiobooks, random RU-vid videos, memes, Twitter/Instagram/Facebook/Snapchat that just keeps on coming..... and there's still a real life out there you definitely should enjoy. It's endless. I don't even think the feeling of boredom exists for anyone with a decent salary and/or Wifi connection anymore. It's more likely to feel so overwhelmed by the crazy amount and pressured into watching and consuming literally all of it that you're just gonna end up feeling completely empty inside without anything to distract you from that. I think I'm already starting to feel this way. Yay.
Ted Somerville I watch other stuff too but The Office is at least 50% of my viewing. That said, the DVDs of The Office are better because it has all the extras like commentary.
Jenny Williams I thought they were being removed around the end of January because of Disney’s conflict with their service? I’d love if they stayed up but even if Disney can’t use them I doubt they’d allow Netflix to keep them up. It’s a shame. I’m trying to catch up on everything before it goes POOF.
