What’s weird to me is British shows usually have *a* showrunner. I think that’s why they are usually better, because there’s kind of a single narrative voice, unlike American shows that have a team of writers and different directors.
I thought that Freddie has his skills but they’re overlooked due to him being a dingbat. That Russian accent was perfect for that situation. If there’s a season 2 I can’t wait to see his character arc
Rekai, right before you said it I had the same thought and comment to myself as well. I don't think you guys would have noticed that Guy Ritchie wasn't the director of episode 3 unless you didn't have prior knowledge.
Speaking of coats she wears I Loved the coat DRY EYE wore in the film which is the long double breasted jacket. After emailing he costume designers found out its a BELLSTAFF MILFORD jacket.
Listen, I just started watching this show yesterday, and I am hooked yall !! I haven't seen the movie, so I'll circle back and watch that once I'm done with the show. Idk of you've discussed this in the rest of the episodes, but the guy that plays Edward is the husband from The White Lotus in season 2. I had no idea he was a British actor 😮. Love the reactions and discussions 👏🏿.
Somehow I remembered incorrectly that Guy Ritchie directed the firdt 4 epidodes. Somewhere in the middle of the 3rd episode I thought well, this is a bit boring comparing to the first two ones. And when I saw at the end that this ep had different writer and director I said OK, that makes sense. That's why I felt it a bit difrerent. Nevertheless, it's still hilarious and Daniel Ings (Freddy) delivers the performace of his life.
