The Netgear AC1750 is a great product in the mid-range Smart WiFi category. Up and Running under 20 minutes! #netgear #ac1750 #r6400 #wifi #networking #802.11ac #router #ethernet
This was the most clear, easy-to-follow instructions and explanations I have come across in all of my years of watching tech set-up tutorials. Thank you so much! I'm now subscribed to your channel and know it will be a valuable resource for me.
Excellent instructional video for the somewhat tech savvy to minimal tech experienced. Very humorous as well, loved the part about tossing the phone app instructions "you don't need it, cause you got me!" Keep up the interesting and informative free tech support!
Strange I don't know what Video you were talking about. They did a really good Video and shows setup way more then your trying to say. I have had mine for a while I don't even know how I got here. Even still have as a back up my older Router 6100 lol. This one is much better. Was better then a few others I looked at. Even some of the Higher models don't have the 2 usb. Very nice to have a 3.0 and 2.0 for legacy hardware. Netgear makes great products.
You did an excellent job on the basic setup of Netgear Nighthawk thank you I have to set one up this coming Wednesday wish me success 4 HD video the media box Android. Thank You Sir.
Well when it came time to setup the router he had decided to just let the Cable Guy do it because he was bringing him a new modem and I had made that suggestion from the start but he was okay with it for me to come and set him up this way when the cable guy came he did it for free you can't say no to free. But don't worry one day I will use your tutorial for the setup because I'm going to buy one for myself again thank you for your video it was very helpful.
Is there a video around that would help an 80 year old lady set up the Netgear Model R6400v2 wifi router?? Like the gal after me, I already had mine unboxed and now need to see how you complete the process......not in words but visually. The manual is 178 pages long. I need to get mine up and running and don't understand most of the lingo. Thank you for your help.
Great Video !. I was actually looking for difference between R6350 and R6400. Few queries as i'm planning to buy Netgear Router. Please advise. Thanks in advance Which one is the latest product from Netgear, R6350 or R6400 ? Which model has better coverage/range and speed ? Are there any difference in the hardware or software technologies used in both ?
im in the same boat , thinking to go with 6350 bcz its small yet powerfull enough ac gigabit router. which one did yuh buy??? do tell me the performance review and range.
So wait, i have to disable the wifi on the modem? I saw a video that just used the name and passwords that were already on it. Idk if thatd affect the signal strength or not though.
I just purchased this router in hopes travel/live abroad but don't really want my employer to know where I am at. The IT pro who told me to purchase this has ghosted me. Can you assist me? Paid consultation of course.
My Netgear AC1750 only gives 200 Mbps on the 300 Mbps with my Spectrum 300 Mbps internet plan. I bought brand new Ethernet cables as well. When I connect directly to my MAC speed test jump to 350+ Mbps, after connecting to my AC1750 my speed drops to about 210 Mbps. What can I do?
I just purchased this router and I don't have a separate ISP modem, so am I just connecting the cat5 cable into my WAN "yellow" slot and I should be good to at least get going?
Hello. Thank you for the video and explanation. Does it have to be connected to the router after set up? Can I take the NETGEAR to midway location between the router and dead zone area? Thanks.
Thanks for your question. You should probably use a computer. If you don't have a computer, you can also use your mobile device. I have done it many times.
The 6400v2 is a much better router in my opinion. They both use the same gui platform, but the 6400v2 is compatible with 3rd party firmware (DD-WRT, OpenWRT). That's huge for people like me, who are constantly doing things like VPN and custom proxy server s like Squid.
You can't buy the r6400v2 off the shelf anymore though. The r6350 has taken it's place. If you're looking for the r6400v2, I added a URL for it in the description for this video.
@@techinitreel5785 So, is that a yes? I have the same question. Also, I am planning on returning a NETGEAR router because it does not support the service provider's speed; I'm still getting buffing while I'm streaming. So I purchased an upgraded router. Since I'm keeping the password I have created, do I need to do all the sets on your video, or skip a few steps that you mentioned?
Unless the router has a built in modem, you'll need to provide one for internet connectivity. This model requires you have a modem, either ISP provided or aftermarket (Walmart, Amazon, Best buy, etc).
This router has an advertised range of 2500 feet. However, I consistently get between 700 to 1200 feet, with 4 walls between my device and the router. Remember, every wall/obstruction takes away 100-200 feet of range.
This video only says "IF you get to this step" instead of "This is how you get to this step" therefore it is quite limited in its teaching capabilities.
@@theseventh8222 Yes, the router has to be connected to a modem, otherwise there will be no internet connection and you will not be able to activate the router.
Hi and welcome to my channel! This is actually a wonderful router! Please tell me your issues, and maybe we can get it tuned to your specific needs. Email me directly at pjg.does@gmail.com.
@@techinitreel5785 I installed the router and it's up and working. I read that this router is perfect for gaming, but I find myself with the same internet/download speed that I had before I got it. Is there something I did wrong? My console connects to it wirelessly but it should still prevent lag. I'm in the immediate next room, but there was no increase in speed
