super cool that you recognized DJ Paul Elstak :) Paul even helped with the sounds in the song. It is his signature sound :) Also this song has nothing to do with europe. Joost klein lost his parents at a very young age and he had (and still has) a lot of trouble with that. He started writing songs about his feelings and his life. All of his songs have a deeper meaning. So he wrote this song for/to his parents / dad. Like the song is called "euro-papa" because papa is dad in dutch. He is singing that he goes to other places but he feels lonely. He says he lost his passport but he doesnt need a visum to be with his dad He lost everything except time. he is struggeling He is giving people money but nobody is helping him. He went to mental healthcare but they could not help him. He is talking about the song Papaoutai from stromae. Papa outai means "dad is here" and the phrase Où t'es? Papa où t'es? means Where are you? Dad where are you? check out the lyrics of that song too :) He is also mentioning "i wont stop until they say, yes he does that very well" because he is seeking pride from his parents. The ending is pretty clear but i think he is talking to his dad and his younger him and he tells his dad that he listend to him. Also the burning picture and burning house stands for him closing that chapter and he wants to move on and dont want to feel the pain anymore. while he was in therapy they used burning stuff to let go the old
