It’s. 50/50 game and to be fair I think the Dutch showed a lot more football than England. How can anyone believe the Dutch are underdogs at this point?
@@j.vandeven Turkey tbh we’re unlucky to not get anything out of that game Dutch play wide open which I think will play into Englands hands I prob c the Dutch as a better matchup for England than a low block team but tbh Spain win anyway
@@peterelsey6238umm England scraped and hanged on in all of their matches in euro 2024 and have barely made it to the semis it is 50 50 THE END !!!!!!!!!
the commentator said 'will england be favourites' i know england haters wait for anything they say to call them arrogant when they are anything but arrogant and we all know how terrible england have been, but who's been great? maybe spain. Also, other countries focus on their team and are more flag waving than england. Apart from that the media always create controvery by saying controversial things 'click bait' to start an argument.
Except that Spain has been pretty consistently top class, unlike the other teams. France and England have been really disappointing and the Dutch just seem to scrape by every match they play (except against Romania).
@@asimb0mb I thought Spain was quite lucky against Germany, I think the French defence will be too much for Spain and France will catch them out on the break
@@asimb0mbYep,but football is not a logical sport. Uruguay was underdogs vs Brazil and with 10 men brought Brazil to a penalty shoot out and won in the Copa America Semi final.
@@asimb0mb i think the same. Even tho im from the netherlands, and hope we will win it all. Ofcourse as a team your happy with every win and it shows that anything is possible. But to play really good football, thats what Spain is showing every match. I do think Germany was their hardest opponent so far.
We do think we have a good chance and are confident. Also because you guys play like dogshit because of the manager. But good players like Bellingham, foden etc can score out of nowhere
Fully agreed with you, we aren't underdogs for this tie. Viewing yourselves as underdogs is the first mistake many countries make, because you're starting to find comfort in the other side being better and accepting your loss beforehand. It's all a state of mind. No matter how good the opposition is, on the day it's our game. The second you stop having faith in that is the second you've lost.
@@doml8959 There is no need to be rude even if you don't wanna hear my opinion. You can ignore my opinion without commenting. But obviously my thinking triggered you. Tell me that you care about what I think without telling me you care 😂
I know. It's not just England are overrated, or they have a lackluster system and they play all negative, which of course has beaten to death by the media and understandably so. It's more that the Dutch are a world-class side in their own right, with all their starters playing for top clubs, and are at worst a pretty even match on paper no matter how you slice it. Not as awesome as previous elite Dutch teams, but still able to easily play head to head with any nation. And given their current form, I think the Dutch are a very decent bet. That was a tough performance to come back against a good Turkish side. And if I'm Koeman I'm just not that worried about Phil Foden carving my defense apart, god bless that little guy....
Holland are not the underdogs in my mind, defensively they are good and are capable of scoring multiple goals in open play. Englands best chance is holding out for another penalty shoot out as I don't see them being a goal threat, Holland on the other hand if it clicks could bag a couple.
@@0fwRs How many world-class? So, you think a player from Aston Villa, Bedford, Newcastle United, and Crystal Palace is world-class? Or Stone who barely plays for City is world-class? Palmer who had an average season with Chelsea is world-class?
@@afolabitoye4393there is no player under the age of 21 with more goal involvements in the top 5 leagues last season than Cole palmer, more than musiala, wirtz, xavi Simmons and Bellingham 😂
@@England-fan01 How ? These Islanders have not shown ANY potential to create goals.. your only chance is to hold of. Dutch on the other hand, scores goals creates chances. No m8, English is doomed.
Speaking as an Englishman and England fan, I think we have played dreadful football and are lucky to be in the semis. I cannot see us playing much better so we will only beat Holland with extreme luck. Hope I am wrong.
Lol, dont forget that the English had substantial difficulty in their past 2 games. Netherlands on the other hand, despite losing to Austria, are in form and scoring lots of goals
@@remy5368 With our Dutch defense. No way! We got 300 millions pounds in worth of defensive players. Van de Ven and Frimpong start on the bench my friend. Matthijs De ligt didn't even play yet. The best defense of the European Championship. Maybe if we had average players like Konsa.
England never liked to play the Netherlands at tournaments. Same as Brasil hates to play against the Netherlands. It's one of those teams they have a hard time to play against. England has a losing record against the Netherlands when it is competition bound games .
Netherlands has the best head to head record. England have only beaten the Oranje once in nine meetings since a 4-1 win at Euro 96. That's also their only win in major tournaments, alongside a goalless draw at Italia 90 and the Netherlands winning 3-1 at the 1988 Euros.
Netherlands have to stop being shaky at the back, they can't allow free headers to Kane and bellingham who only wait for those situations, koeman has to maybe start 3 CB but I don't think he will.
Holland are cery dangerous team they are peaking defensively very strong So far England played poorly not won single game in full time big concern especially playing against weak team .bookies must be smokin big time holland crushed romania and against turkey tjey were good definitely going Holland favourite 60-40 edge i believe
Last euros, England played well and found it easy until the final. And then got knocked out. It really doesn't matter now, result only. And being confident taking pens is a plus.
France are though to the Semi Finals without scoring a single goal in open play. The big teams find a way to win even when they’re playing horribly. England vs Spain Final
As long as Saka is playing on an island and his teammates don’t make space by pulling defenders away from him to make his actions I don’t think they make a chance .
England had their best game against Switzerland, it wasn’t great but they should be able to build on from that performance. The penalty shootout should give them more confidence and momentum against Switzerland, likewise the way Bellingham and Kanes’ goals did against Slovakia going into the quarter-final.
The idea alone should be illegal. Two teams that play the worst type of anti-football there is. We may as well just skip the 120 minutes of playtime and go right ahead to the penalty shootout to spare us all the suffering…
WHAT???? The sheer arrogance and delusions 😂 Dutch as the Underdogs?? English's arrogance never ceases to amaze the world ..the Dutch will have absolute fun with this overhyped Scotland-ish team 😂
@@hielkevanbroekhoven7776 Better players yes, but the team has not gelled together. Only way I see England making it through is if they can hold on for Penalties as I can't see them scoring in open play, on the other hand Holland at times when they have clicked look capable of scoring a boat load. England will be ultra defensive as they cant click in attack and Holland will keep knocking on the door and grab one or two.
@@England-fan01 my dear this is Holland I'm talking about in this euro cup they played much better than england n they will be the champions i guaranty to this
That will be a very excited game. The Westfalenstadion is the right location for a game like these with those fans on both sides. We'll see which colour has the south stand, the yellow wall.
Coming from a Dutchman, its a 50/50 I suppose. We can't do better than this, England can but won't. I feel England has the better players but the worse playing style of the two teams.
I dont know why, but everyone seems to forget that England is the favourite team for Holland to play against. Their game fits us well to shine bright. Its gonna be a great game!
I don't think any of the Dutch or us Engish think that the Dutch are underdogs. They're a strong team who didn't start well but are getting better as the tournament goes on. England have just been scraping by on individual players having moments of brilliance. I think it will be close as the English defence is pretty good but I'm not sure if we'll get ourselves out of this hole this time...
England have won 1 of there last six games in 90 mins and that was against Serbia,if they win this Tournament it will by lucky moments or penalties, that’s just all they have to offer and it won’t change now
England have the hallmark of a champion in making. They’ve not allowed opposition to outplay them. Have scraped results with grit. Have turned up when it has been needed. Have executed their plan to perfection. Holland on other hand have not been stable. Therefore England will go all the way and win this tournament. Yes Spain, France and Holland can win it. England is right now clear. Fearless youngsters like Bellingham. Mainoo and Saka. Dangerous players!
@@Pmrace1960 this England squad went to the final last time. Therefore very calm about their input. The way they dispatched penalties shows a team’s confidence.
@@CactusClai dont think will go to penalties......they cant keep defying the XG......when you are 2nd best every game its bound to catch up with you....see this being an easy win for the dutch
What i love this England team is that they show mentality of winning, something was lacked in the past. Look at they penalties. Honestly, Kane should be earlier so that Tony can have more minutes. Pls Gate
One thing for sure, Netherlands defenders wont be standing off Saka and letting him run at them like the Swiss did. England are favourites to beat them and probably should do.Gakpo looks to be their best player and looks on good form, Depay has 1 good game every half dozen . Hard to predict a score, never know what England are gonna do. Kane is due a decent game, asuse from the extra time header I dont think hes had a shot on target in the last 2 games. He is coming in for a lot of stick, but unless he has some company up top theres not much more he can do.
As a Dutchman I hope the English will now show their phenomenal potential on the pitch. Usually, this also brings about the best from our national team. This I hope should then result in a tough, but fair match, between comparable teams, both in talent and style of play. Good luck England, your time in bringing the top prize home will certainly come, just not this time 😊
Southgate’s side have reached their third semi-final in the last four tournaments and are one win away from becoming the first England men’s team ever to reach a major final overseas. It is highly recommended and a MUST for Real Madrid management, board of directors, coaching staff, people working in their club who are involved on the transfer-market to permanently sell who are currently out on loan to play for another football club, do not offer a loan with buy back clause or with a number or percentage rights, recall or return players that are currently on-loan by another football club to play for Real Madrid, ageing ((28) years old and above), inconsistent (due to limited playing time, never have played and always on the bench, poor defensively, not performing well) regardless of age, injury prone, those who are not comfortable playing in different position, that MUST happen on or before July 2027. We are referring to Modric, Vasquez, Daniel Carvajal Ramos "Dani Carvajal", Courtois, Alaba, Rudiger, Mendy, Daniel Ceballos Fernández "Dani Ceballos" Jesús Vallejo Lázaro "Jesus Vallejo", Francisco José García Torres "Fran Garcia", Diaz, Juan Miguel Latasa Fernández "Juanmi Latasa", Reinier Jesus Carvalho "Reinier", Nicolás "Nico" Paz Martínez, & Guler. Right Back: Jesus Fortea, Malo Gusto Left Back: Alphonso Davies, Miguel Gutierrez Centre Back: William Saliba, Leny Yoro, Dean Huijsen Centre or Attacking Midfield: Florian Wirtz, Franco Mastantuono Lastly Real Madrid must never offer a contract to these players for a RIGHT BACK position, that are inconsistent regardless of age, poor defensively, has disadvantage of height and strength (lacks muscles), proven already that unable to stop wingers/strikers in different leagues, injury-prone, has beyond 60 million euro's transfer-market value, and ageing 27 years old and above, and turning 27 years old and above on year 2027. @@shantellestewart4995 What does a result from 2019 have to do with Wednesdays game and you conveniently ignore the fact that the Dutch don’t exactly look all that.
@@Ramps-rc9iy Sir England ain't beating Netherlands. Their performance alone in this tournment against "easy" teams is horrible. Netherlands overall throughout the years have outclassed England. I expected them to humble others however they struggled. Continue believing, nothing wrong with that. It will be though a Spain vs Netherlands Final. With Spain as Euro champions.
The Netherlands is a small country. Is that why they are the underdog? Statistics: Netherlands won more from Brazil, England,Spain ...than the other way. They are underdogs? hahahaha😀 !
Southgate is either extremely lucky or a genius. England were crying out for an attacking option on the left, it’s mystifying why Gordon is left twiddling his thumbs on the bench. Personally, I would play Watkins who can run some of the legs out of the Dutch defence and bring Kane or Tony on after half time. That would give Kane a bit more space to play in. At the moment he’s spending all his energy running about with no service. This is a fantastic opportunity to get in the final but Southgate’s lack of vision could be the deciding factor.
Let it be an underdog, it doesn't really matter. Holland we are using both flanks (dumfries/gakpo) and have more attacking prowess in the middle of Simons/ Depay/ Reijnders if he turn up and join the attack. Up alone we have Weghorst giving his physical presence between stones and konsa. Trippier will have a harder time than walker containing the likes of dumfries and Bergwijn who are both fast attacking and defensively minded players. Saka vs Ake that would be tough as it could go both ways but saka with defensive duties in mind he cant neglect leaving kyle walker alone 1v1 against gakpo. Foden has been playing well since able to revert more centrally with his crossing and passes but that left a question mark as to what is the role of bellingham a supporting striker? behind harry kane who is currently as invisible as nobody knows what he does now. He cant drop deep and he doesnt go in aggresively to attack when saka send in good crosses. Tbh many times those opportunities landed without anyone going for it. If saka goal was a big highlight. its just another statement of let me cut in find the angle and hit a shot cos in his mind.. i am fustrated let me do it single handedly and of recent game bellingham input has drop becos he best partner trent isnt playing. he knows when trent is playing those passing range either over the top or sides, bellingham can have more freedom to attack. Which now solely lies on foden. But both number 10 ? mainoo is getting in a number 10 role and that makes it 3. If this is overview Rice will be left alone having a hard time. I am puzzled why gomez wasnt selected ahead of trippier. Gomez has the ability to defend and overload attack on the left flank.
I dont think the dutch think in underdog or favorite in any game. they know that if they can reach their top level they have a good chance against any team and at the same time they know if they dont play well they can and will lose against any team that competed in this Euro's (tho against Turkey the fighting spirit won them the game, so sometimes they can also win when they dont play very well). so the focus is more on theselves and do everything to reach that level
At least the Dutch won in regular playing time and didn't need penalties to defeat a supposedly weaker opponent. In the end, I don't think the results of England-Netherlands matter much. Neither will stand much of a chance against the winner of France-Spain (presumably Spain).
Delusional. The Swiss are better than the Netherlands except offense. The Netherlands have gaping holes in their defense which England will easily exploit.
@@christianrolandoleonardmaisyWhich makes sense.. The Dutch will test the English defense far more than the Swiss offense, which clicks, because yall keep on extendin it to the penalties..
@@yallsold I don't know if the Dutch are able to test the defense. Their main offensive threat is Gakpo who will be clamped down by Walker. Depay ain't it. Malen ain't it. Weghorst stinks. Only a hail mary shot from Gakpo could save them. Their attack is on par with the Swiss.
