If you would have told me Bridges Cam Johnson & picks would have gotten KD, I wouldn't have believed it. As a fan of a team who's lost stars before its all up to player himself. If he wants to come to Brooklyn, he'll get it. Overall I think its Garland that's shipped out anyway.

Agreed w/ everything Doug said. It's amazing how everyone has forgotten about Dariq Whitehead. He's still the #1 reason for hope as a Nets fan.

I don't think he's number 1 but I can see why you'd say that. I think CT & Clowney are ones to look too. Especially Clowney for the fact he may be the starting PF in a few months if the Nets decide to go young. But if Whitehead hits... that's MAJOR get for us. He's young & still getting over those injuries so next year may be a developmental year for him.

DG Year 2 40% from 3, Year 3 38% from 3, Year 4 41% from 3. And hes basically a 22 and 8 guy @24yo. I think DG and Clax would be a great starting point

@NetsFansYouKnow Hey Pete. Hope your vacation was good 🙂. Looking at Brooklyn's assets they have more than enough to make the best package to get Mitchell. However if Mitchell somehow resigns with the Cavs it will mostly be because of the money 💰. But Brooklyn would need to pivot if they can't get Mitchell and might have to think about potentially getting into this upcoming draft.... What do you think?

Why would Mitchell want to go to a worse team that would lose most of its assets in the trade for him. Don't believe everything you see from anonymous league officials most of the time it's people trying to push narratives. Mitchell has said multiple times since going to the Cavs he is happy where he is. Your best shot would be garland but either way if bridges isn't in the deal don't bother calling

Its a great idea but how to we trade for them (if Utah even wants to). I was VERY big on Sexton going into last year before the breakout, I think he's too expensive now.

First thing I'll say is don't believe everything you hear from anonymous reports. Your best chance of getting anyone from the Cavs would be garland and if that deal didn't include bridges don't bother calling. Finally I will end with saying Darius broke his jaw during the season lost a bunch of weight because he couldn't eat that can't be easy for a professional athlete then on top of that his grandma that he was very close to passed away during the season as well. He is a very talented PG who has shown what he can do he just had a tough season. He was the main ball handler/creator that led the team back to enough wins to even consider trading for Mitchell. If the nets are lucky enough to get him don't treat him as a consolation prize for not getting Mitchell.

I saw a recent bookmaker had us with top 3 odds to get him I think. A lot of people feel uncomfortable with "that" whole situation with the young girl even though I think he was innocent (not very knowledgeable on that tbh) so that may be an issue.

@@NetsFansYouKnow I got to admit it creeped me out thinking she was underage. Even though I think it's young, in Australia the legal age is 16 so that's probably his mindset but it shook him up and it effected him this year. I reckon he will have a chip on his shoulder and come back better next season. Could be a good get for the Nets and fixes their point guard problem.

If I’m the Cavs’ GM I’m not interested in any trade with the Nets unless they are offering the two Cams (I.e., Bridges & Thomas). It only makes sense for the Cavs!

@@cameronbolden5064 Clayton? You mean Claxton & Allen? Im going to assume you mean that but lemme know if I misunderstood. I do not think they are & ill give you a few reasons why: Clax is built more like a SF (thin, great DEF on the perimeter for a big, has shown to have trouble with bigger C's), while JA (imo) is more of a force on the inside, bigger frame, better rebounder (especially ORB + he's doing this while playing next to Mobley), but he's has had better PG play. Hope this helps.

Jokes on you, we've been cursed since we traded Dr J away lol. The fans loved Kyrie, he grew up a Nets fan. The teams owner/fo had issues with him & he's had "issues" at other places as well. The Nets just arnt good.

@@NetsFansYouKnow Kyrie never asked to be in Boston. He told the Cleveland the teams he wanted to Play for and they ignored that to make him unhappy. Brooklyn was working out just fine until COVID happened. A man has a right to not participate in unproven medical experimentation. That’s part of the Geneva Convention. If COVID was really that bad, the NBA should have shut down operations to allow players to isolate in their homes. They were not essential workers

Appreciate you commenting giving me push back. Some of takes I agree 100%, others not so much. When Kyrie WANTED out and was under contract (unless there’s a limited no trade clause; which lists the -teams he rejects or wants). The Cavs (who at the time I’m sure was dealt a heartbreaking blow) has no reason to not take the best trade package for the franchise moving forward. Covid was a once in 100 years event no one could have expected what was to come. I never not once have blamed Ky about not getting a shot. A matter a fact I blame the Nets for letting him play road games (a possibly very costly decision). Some of the other things that happened, you can argue it’s NYC media but he knows market.

I think they'll be In playoff contention because the roster isn't horrific, the coaching will be better next year, & the Nets most likely add someone else in addition to Mitchell.
