Thanks for the clarification. You could explain what you mean...or stay in your tower of superiority. At least this soprano has consistency and legato. Better style than you get at the MET these days.
She looks like Leonora"s granddaughter from Manrico.🎵🎵🎵🎵 Lovely instrument though. She will definitely have a wonderful CAREER. Not a Verdi Soprano, I would love her Mozart, and she would be a wonderful Margurite in Faust, as well as Mimi in Laboheme. She can sing the young innocent girls for MANY years.🌷🌷🌷🌷🌹🌹🌹🌹🎵🎵🎵🎵🎼🎼🎼🎼

A nice voice... but this doesn't sound like Verdi. Where are the messa di voce, pianos, crescendos, diminuendos, portamenti, etc... there's a compete lack of style. Nice voice but she needs a good coach.
Yes, she has a good voice, but her sound is nothing more spectacular then most students from postgrad conservatory. Her hard core marketing in Australia and enormous grants have put her on the opera stardom, not because she is outstanding voice but beause she was proclaimed to be Creme de la creme of opera. There are so many expectonal voices nowadays that if you compare her voice to most of them it would be rediculous even to attempt comparison.
Both are you are too critical imho. She is still very much a "freshman". Not realistic if you expect her to come to a competition with all you listed and comparing her to the big names. From the evidence of this performance, she is already way above the postgrad conservatory standard. I doubt a postgrad delivers a performance of such standards in front of such an audience. Her voice is consistent thru out the registers and the tone is even of production with no juddering of tone or wobble on the high notes. Her singing style, as of now, is unitalianate, but that can be improved. I'm surprised she managed to tackle the cabaletta with ease. Anna Netrebko sounded like a toothless hooting tiger in this. Nicole Car has put in a lot of effort here and it shows.
And once again we can hear how difficult those Verdi arias can be if your voice doesn´t fit the role. There is too much pressure on the larynx here, the vibrato is too strong and there is no emotional expression.
why the whole voice on her noise?without mic.it's impossible to hear her middle and low tones.her jaw want to shake?there is no core in the voice.screamy high notes...unfortunately,this 'modern technic' is going to destroy this kind lady's voice...
you do realize that you are using the term "vibrato" incorrectly, right? Like most people of your culture who use Italian words without even knowing what they really mean.
El vibrato suena como debe ser, escucha a Maria Callas con la misma aria y te darás cuenta que el vibrato es muy parecido a Nicole. A mi me parece que tiene una técnica excelente, manejo los medios y los altos con una excelente colocación.
Her vibrato is much to wide at the top. Sounds like a siren. That's a sign of tensions (which can be seen om her at times shaking jaw). Spreading the mouth on the top does not help. I hope she finds a teacher who can help her, befor she ruins her voice. [update] Listened to a recording from 2020. Her voice is now smaller, she has developed a knödel sound in her chest voice, and her vibrato at the top has turned into a tremolo (you can't hear which note she is singing).
