Your hi-fi system is rather impressive. I thought I saw a Marantz 7c or 7t, an 8, 8b below and Marantz 9? The vinyl turntables on your channel are interesting (Neumann, EMT, Denon from broadcast radio, etc.). As such, using vinyl turntables for professional use from the great era for beautiful, better hi-fi listening today than with a Thorens TD 124, Garrard 301? ☺️
Hi, thank you, in general, in my opinion all gears from the 50’s and 60’s are very similar in quality, of course the broadcast ones are built to work harder and never stop, but this don’t affect the quality of the sound in’s in general don’t make them better either… i also have a couple of 301 and td124, they are great and sound fabulous as my others gears…
Yes, is very rare, even though not so rare as people thinks... I guess they were sold together with the Newman cutting machine, and as far as I have understood there were two model, the pa2 and the pa62 which were the same turntable with two different arms, Newman one and Ortofon one... which is rare too is the tube prephono ... nice machines indeed
Hi, Thank you for your comments, these speakers were used in the italian broadcast radio during the 50s, they were hanged 2 meter toll on the wall in their studios, that's why they they have this romboidal shape... inside they uses Osae Aulos Duodinamica speakers, this brand was ans italian brand from Torino, producing gears especially for the italian broadcast radio, they are very rare and really good too... they use one woofer and two tweeters each speaker.
@@alanrogs3990 I’ve been collecting vintage stuff for more than 20 years… is not a matter of money as to be able to find the rights people to restore them… and this is not easy at all… I still have quite a lot of stuff waiting to return to live… little by little…
@@ilfafioccaro417 Yes, I have a friend that can service old tube amps and charges very little but he generally doesn't want to replace anything (even caps) if the amp is working. A person that can fix this stuff is worth their weight in gold. I live in an area where if it wasn't for him I'd have to ship the item to be repaired and probably pay a lot to get it all done. Which means I'd probably stop buying vintage stuff. I just wouldn't be able to afford it.
@@alanrogs3990 I agree 100%!!! Unfortunately two of my wonder-man are 83 years old… still in great shape but I need to find someone younger and is not easy at all…
