Today we're going to take a look at the vintage Neumann SM69 tube microphone which is said to be one of the best stereo microphones ever build.
The Neumann SM69 was Neumanns first stereo large diagram condenser microphone released in 1964. The SM69 has two K67 capsules and two Ac701 tubes.

It sounds reaaaaaally natural, the old good sound no doubt. The figure eight sounds great on the guitar.

Thanks man! Hmm I'm not sure I like Neumann mics in fig.8 on acoustic guitar. There is definitely something very metallic over the tone which I've heard in the Km86 too. Each to their own ofc! Thanks for watching 🙏

@Δystopian_Farmer yeah Omni and cardiod always sounds great on Neumann microphones, but ofc it's all about context like you said. Funny thing is that on my GAP Elam251 fog.8 is completely different. It has a slight dip at around 2khz which my voice really benefits from so I've been using it in fig.8 more then cardiod!
