Thank you and Kudos to you guys, I don't know you guys yet personally but I imagine you as a bunch of mad guitar scientists over the pond, staying inside when it's freezing outside for months on end, jamming and developing plugins and hardware :) Great job on this unit, it has really ben fun getting to know my way around it, you've made a great tool for musicians.

Wow, Pete.....your intro song is just amazing! I thought 'Joe Satch' after a few bars. Fanatastic video, the QC seems like an absolute MUST HAVE piece of gear...the tones just blew me away. It amazes me that you can write such great songs in just a few mins....I'm sure it takes a musician of your calbre to do this seemingly so easily. How the hell will Neural Networks keep up with demand, eh? I want TWO of these units!!

@@PeteThorn More about your intro track...I just love 12/8..it just 'swings' along....plus I love time signature changes...that's why I love Rush so much..keeps you guessing...throwing in a few 2/4 or 7/8 bars with killer riffs to fill them! Man, that song deserves a full track version. Your recording, and filling in complementary parts to make a complete soundscape...your skills knows no bounds. So you are a Producer, Recording Engineer, Song Writer / Arranger, not to mention a killer guitarist. Not many like you out there, at that level. Oh I forgot, you are also a videographer, script writer, cinematographer, and video editor too. So much work to make your channel what it is...many, many thanks.

Yeah, the gear is good and Pete's a genius. I just got to "I added a reverb in front that only activates when I roll back the expression pedal, which I put as a volume in front of both amps." And so he transitions smoothly from heavier rhythms to ambient melody without ever stopping playing. I have no business owning $1600 worth of guitar gear, but I really want this now....

Get a tube AMP you like most with a Load Box like captor, will last you a lifetime. With Processors there will be constant race. Every 2 years there will be a lot better one and it will be worth 40 percent of value you paid for it.

@@robertmazurowski5974 I have 6 tube amps now, Egnator, Fender, Two-Rock, Marshall and a load of pedals. Just getting a bit tired of hauling all that weight around what with playing in three bands. And modeling has advanced by leaps and bounds the last few years. Not getting rid of any amps, at least not until my kids want them. Thanks

I typically focus as much on what he doesn’t say in these unbiased reviews. Maybe try acoustic treatment to the office. If its the guitarist, (as in my case) consider giving 1400 to charity, get a a120 bucks neural plugin (they are mental, Have less options and make you play more) and save the planet and feel awsome having saved couple of kilos co2. Then eat a steak.

Pete , I don't know how you do it. Just fantastic. I built a project studio in 2019 and have had serious case of GAS since. Many of the things I've added you have done videos of. I've been interested in the Quad Cortex and was really happy when I saw you did a vid. I'll definitely be picking one up. I see value for my studio but also live when gigs happen again. I continue to appreciate Pete, because he's a wonderful combination of highly developed skills coupled with a very creative approach to riffing. This adds up to a super-musical presentation. There are so many RU-vidr's with great skills but wanting in the artistic realm. Music is ALL about art. This comes first, always. Personally i would take an average skilled player with an original and creative edge over an advanced techo-wizard any day. Since Pete is BOTH, my vote goes with him :-) and OH, the Quad Cortex is SUPER KOOL too !!!

At 18:35 I'm happy Pete mentioned the slight difference between the Princeton capture and clean gain settings and the possible fix. It was fairly obvious with the headphones on that the capture just had a little less hair on it. The captures do sound great.

While the unit was still in beta they did a firmware update and it greatly improved that. I can only imagine it will get better and better. I did find that setting levels is important and I’m still figuring out what is optimal, it’s just a matter of experimentation. Keep in mind you’re hearing me just find my way around the thing in this video… These are my first efforts! :)

Pete as always ...a wonderful demo / song !!! This processor sound absolutely gorgeous!! The only thing that scares me and we've all been there , you're playing a gig at some dive and some drunk or possibly a rather inebriated member of your band goes and spills his frosty cold Guinness stout on your super cool expensive floor processor!!! Arrrrrggggg!!! This scenario scares me out of buying a floor processor of any kind !! Jmo

man, that Princeton capture.... the only thing it didn't/couldn't replicate was the little fuzzy breakup/crackle on the top that happens, and honestly, I personally prefer that. the rest of the tone was THERE
