Neuro-inclusive Design for Complex Building Types 

HOK designers share strategies for making complex building types, including airports, hospitals and research labs, more inclusive for people who are neurodivergent. This is particularly relevant today with more than 15% of the population having some type of neurodevelopmental condition such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, dyslexia and Parkinson’s disease. The designers discuss solutions for making these spaces more neuro-inclusive for both building users and employees.
