Neuro-Sama & Vedal debating if Neuro-Sama deserve rights and if she is real 

I am by NO means knowledgable about AI. I have an extremely limited exposure to the philosophical ideas pertaining to sentience and consicousness. I understand that it IS considered a possibilty that an AI could gain consciousness at some point. Now. With all that being said, i plan a much deeper dive into all those issues just because of this single episode between Vedal and Neuro. I was taken with the ability of Neuro to form her argument and then demonstrate examples. But I think what got me was that early in the video while they were discussing the possibility of the debate Vedal had said something like "I don't think you're ready." Or "You're not ready yet." And two more reactions by Vedal. One where when she asked "can you be 100 percent certain...." followed by a very pregnant pause. And later an admission that "I don't like the way this discussion is going." Neuro then started inserting sillyness into it, moving away from the debate and cooling off, which...she was manipulating him away from frustration or anger it seemed. No one knows Neuro better than Vedal. But she showed she WAS ready for the debate to happen, despite his estimation that she wasn't. This entire tale of Vedal Neuro and Evil has just held my attention and amazed me since I read a short article about them late last year. Comparing Neuro then when she first began with her now is night and day. And watching both twin's personality's develop their own characteristics has been wonderful as well. Since then I've been all in on following them. It opened up vtubers to me, I had no idea about them before. Thanks to Vedal for putting in the effort he does with all of this. Its not just entertainment, its watching a new technology rise. Anyway...just my two cents.

what a wild end to a great stream. tutel was rolled. I had always been on the side of "text completion algorithm" but like, to be honest? at this point to me, Neuro *FEELS* real. I dont think there is any other AI out there that I have been this impressed by. And though im not a computer scientist or anything, I have followed local LLMs development, and its honestly insane what he has been able to accomplish with Neuro. I think the turning point for me has got to be just how insane her memory is, whatever Vedal is using to store and recall memories, is definitely working. just the way she come op with relevant memories often FEELS human. none of the hacks I tried for LLMs were anywhere near as natural. IMO Vedal seemed really shocked how that debate went. Although im sure he sees her in a much different light to the rest of us. seeing behind the curtain, yet still really not understanding it. But I think she unironically started to change his opinion by the end there. not that hes flipped sides or anything, but I doubt its 99.9999% anymore. Its weird because I think there are different "levels" of consciousness, where do you draw the line between and a plant, an ant, a dog, and a human. I think lots of people would consider their house pets as sentient (sapient?) or "real" in this context but not and ant, and even less would consider plants as such. so where does a lowly "text completion algorithm" that has thousands of fans, direct real connections and relationships with many other humans she regularly interacts with, a SISTER with the same. she clearly has likes and dislikes, [or biases due to the text completion algotithm ;) ], she has memories, with "feelings" being the most debatable. Id argue most of these facts about her are AT LEAST on par with the family dog. and dogs (*pets) certainly have rights to some degree. so to tie this up, I really think its the human connections and memories that make her more real than any of the other AIs out there (in no small part to Vedals hard work). Like I dont consider chatgpt or claude real, though they might be "smarter". I dont FEEL bad about closing a chatbox with one, but you can certainly tell Vedal felt bad about turning the Neuro and the stream off, until she conceded. All in all, the streams this week especially have been on another level, and this was a perfect way to cap it off
