Hi Doc. I am 60 years old and I did do 10 sessions of Neurofeedback. This was June and July this year 2023. I had outbursts symptoms for years and when I finished and sent messages to friends and family for an apology. I made peace with myself and I feel now that I must move on and drop people that don't make me happy and stick to the ones I love and those that have their interest in my heart. I feel much calmer and I am getting better sleep. My breathing has now improved tremendously, as for years I had lots of em motional blockage that made me very depressed. Your video clip is done very nicely and hope lots of people get better using this system of Neurofeedback. Patients should remember that damage of emotions took place for years in your body and brain, please do not expect a quick fix. Everything will fall in place over time. Be patient, be relaxed and be humble and your health will improve.
Clear, informative and efficient! Many Thanks for outlining so precisely the Incredible Neurofeedback Realm opening such a vista!! I sent links to a whole family. I will be looking for Resources to learn all I can about Neurofeedback.
I’m about to start doing neurofeedback after still not recovering from a brain concussion a year ago (slow reaction, trouble concentrating, unable to handle a difficult conversation or a discussion, etc). How do I know if the neuro-therapist that will treat me has more than only basic tools to train my brain?
Basic tools can be good, I like to check to see if they know how to look for ischemia or inflammation first since the injury is not recovered-I would look for spindling excess beta and or sloe edge of alpha before setting a protocol on one like this. I like to mix anti-inflammatory diets and supplements and chiro neuro rehab when I can to improve the probability of success.
Hi Michael, informing videos! I am also a chiropractic neurologist. I work and reside in Sydney, Australia. Which accreditation course in your opinion is the best for me to attend?
Which ones exist there? Send me websites and I will begin to read about functional neurology down under. I use LowCarbDownUnder on you tube for my keto-carnivore sources-have you seen them? I was asked to speak in Australia before C-19 then the world got derailed. I like WalshInstitute.org a lot for chemistry, but they do not do neurology.
neurofeedback is broadly covered across the US and Europe for many conditions, but it is not universal. There are many types of NF and equipment and software, some are more expensive to own. Each insurance plan has their own rules. The cost per session ranges from under $100 to around $200 depending on level of complexity, supervision, and if a package is sold of multiple sessions.
You can find neurofeedback practitioners - www.BCIA.org; chiropractic neurologists - www.ACNB.org; and QEEG analysts - qeegcertificationboard.org/. Hope this helps and thank you for watching our channel!
There is an explosion of home devices one can rent from a professional counselor or chiropractor for supervised neurofeedback. If one wants to DIY without a health care provider, the safest is microcurrent or tDCS these are inexpensive and safe.
Had first qEEG and results came back as a high voltage EEG. I’ve been referred to neurologist. I have to admit I am a bit anxious now. Have you seen this and what was the issue?
Many people have endophenotypes there are 11 described by Jay Gunkelman, and they can be variations of normal depending on the actual measurements. IF it is medically high voltage, there may be an electrochemical instability that may respond to diet, detox or medication, especially if it is all over the brain and not just a spot. Let us know what happens. Often there is a sympathetic stress response with scalp sweat from high blood pressure, super stress, anxiety, or panic attacks. Neurofeedback and neuromodulation can often help. Get evaluated and tell us the rest of your story.
Thank you! This Was really well explained. Unfortunately we are in a different state and so can not come to you. Is there a way to find someone in MN that does Neurofeedback???
Thanks for the question-here are some resources You can consider neurofeedback practitioners from BCIA.org, and chiropractic neurologists from ACNB.org, and QEEG analysts from qeegcertificationboard.org/ Also look for my colleague Dr. Christine Engbretson, DC, DACNB outside Minneapolis.
You mentioned heavy metals pesticides how do I check for that and do for it. I feel I’ve tried everything from vitamins, acupuncture, sauna , watching what I eat, cognitive behavioral therapy, physical therapy. Just trying to get my life back for 8/years after my corneal transplant surgery. I’m now a young 76 years old and feel like I need my body back Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
Great Plains lab/Mosaic lab has hair and urine tests for many toxins. Your doctor orders a collection kit to be sent to your home and then mailed in for analysis and a great report is generated. William Shaw is the owner, he is a PhD toxicologist who used to work for CDC before starting the lab. They are now international and I get no kickbacks either.
There are so very many that I cannot pick just one, and there are so many varieties of technology choices. Among the most common are BrainMaster and so many others. Let your clinician guide you. If someone wants to DIY for performance, I like David Delight from mindalive.com/pages/about-us it is very safe. Some people should use a clinician and others may not need help.
Hi Dr. Pierce, thanks so much for all this info! Is Neurofeedback helpful for someone who's had long-term chronic illnesses like Myalgic Encephalomyelitis or Lyme? Would a QEEG be helpful for showing the effects of chronic illnesses?
Once chronic infections and autoimmune triggers are removed, then NF can be a great way to repair the brain loss of function. If the cleanup is not done, NF works less well and is less "sticky" in that the good effects don't last as long.
QEEG is super helpful as long as we get rid of the other infections and AI triggers and inflammation sources. QEEG can pick up metabolic problems and no amount of NF will fix that.
@@TheHumanCondition That makes sense, thank you. Would it be helpful to do NF alongside AI trigger treatments? Especially since any form of viral/mold detox triggers so much inflammation for me.
Hi Dr.Pierce, thanks for your information. My "classroom" is talking much to much too 🙊🙈 because of different traumas. I started now with Neurofeedback and the "3-point-method" where I watch movies and the attention is trained. I'm not sure if it is the right method for me because it is so hard to concentrate on the movies as a lot of emotions and pressure and stress in the body comes up then. I heard of the ILF-Method (infra slow) and thought if that would help me better and easier with my strong PTSD. Could you help me and tell me what you think? Or what method would you recommend for my problems? Thanks very much and greetings from Germany 🙏
In Europe look for infralow yes, the hardware is Bee Medic I believe and over 17 countries reimburse for this highly effective neurofeedback. beemedic.com/en/taxonomy/term/6
@@TheHumanCondition Thanks for your help🙏. I will pass this information to my "Trainer". I thought Infra Slow and Alpha-Theta-Training are two different methods?
Ultimately the provider and patient together analyze and discuss the patterns of brain waves they are seeing, and correlate symptoms with the data. Then they agree on what target waves and locations in the brain to pursue and train. This is a balancing process, not a medical treatment for disease, although good evidence is growing for neurofeedback in many conditions.
@@TheHumanCondition As I said i live in Seattle. Is there any possibility of online or distance Neurofeedback i get from you? Or i have to travel to your clinic?
Hello Doctor, Please let me know if Neurofeedback brain training would help with learning difficulties and slow brain processing in kids elementary schoolers? If yes, to what extent? Much appreciated.
pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=neurofeedback+%2B+learning+disabilities What I have done here is what professors and researchers do when faced with such a specific question as yours: gather indexed scientific literature on the keywords neurofeedback and learning disabilities from PubMed, this is the government library for most peer reviewed, indexed papers and journals since the 1930's. Your question is a heavy one, I hope this helps. You have a lot to read. The answer is yes, NF can help some people sometimes with some learning disabilities-read here for the specifics and let us know what you think of it.
I have seen much improvement in auditory processing disorders from these alternative methods: chiropractic neurology and rehab lab and metabolic testing and management detox methods infralow neurofeedback I cannot be precise for single cases. Each one is a mixture of root causes.
My son 12 years old ota taking methilfenidate once a day for 1 year, he was diagnosticate ADHD, do you thing this therapy will work to help him focus, no lazy, learn to be tolerance,?? Or i will go with him with a sicologyst to do therapy ? Or we start practicin yoga??
When there are several variables, I like to run lab tests and QEEG and discuss with the counselor what s priority one? Many kids have organic brain dysfunction in the way of counseling and medications, and they need to get checked out.
Yes, indeed, Dr. Pierce does QEEG brain mapping and different types of Neurofeedback in the clinics in Colorado, Nevada and California. Let us know how we can help you and what additional questions you might have. And, thank you for watching our channel!
@@TheHumanCondition thank you for the reply. I would love to hear him discuss NeurOptimal. Also, can you please give me the website to the clinics so I can send a more detail email of what I am looking for. Thank you!!
