Hi! I'd like to know if could be possible to have myasthenia gravis and Horner syndrome? Together? I'm in Mexico and here's extremely difficult because is unknown and most doctors don't have the knowledge about these conditions. Thank you! 🙏🏽
@@AmiyaPrasadMD sir i have deeper sunker eye and tear through lines. I lost my fat a year ago. Then my face looks like older. My age is 28.but Upper cheek is sunker and under eyes are sunker. What should i do?. Is there Any home remedy ?
Hi @TNPSC , An examination is needed before I can recommend treatment. Other than possibly returning to your previous weight, there are no home remedies that can create facial volume for your hollow areas. You can refer to these videos on the different ways hollowness under the eyes, and the upper cheeks are treated in younger people: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VzzsbNDlaHQ.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C1pxoU7e1SE.html
Sir what are the advancement that can happen in comming years in hair restoration industry. People with weak donor area are frustrating. Recently i read an article in google hair cloning is comming it can multiply grafts. So it will be useful for poor donor area people right..? And also about some injections which will regrow new hair follicles. Is that true sir.. Will anything comes in the next 10 years.. Can we expect anything sir
Hi Rupan, Hair cloning has yet to reach a breakthough, even if research has been ongoing for several years. Hair follicles cannot be regrown as they are basically tiny organs. You can refer to this videos about a hair transplant alternative that thickens existing thinning hair, and stimulates hair growth from follicles that are still viable, but currently dormant and not growing hair; and overcoming the limitations of even multiple hair transplants: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Zi6Bxog9_SE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hBeBbCXPHFA.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-at-pzX0TEB4.html
Thankyou, I’ve been chronically ill from birth due to De Morsier’s Syndrome (septo-optic dysplasia) which has only recently been diagnosed via MRI, along with a lot of other creeping diseases, and I’ve in passing suspected Myasthenia Gravis, so this video has given me something I can take pubmed documents to my doctor to take things more seriously.
Hi @geemanz7806, I actually don't treat third nerve palsy as it's a neurological condition, so you can seek a local neurologist for treatment. As a specialty eyelid surgeon, I treat people with eyelid ptosis due to stretched, detached, o weakened muscles of the upper eyelids. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @alfiyatamboli482, Sorry to hear about your son's problem. I suggest you seek a pediatric ophthalmologist who specialized in, and performs congenital ptosis correction surgery on children. I actually don't operate on children. I hope this helps you.
Hi Mian Muhammad Nadeem, The amount of shedding would depend on how the injector performs the treatment, how often it is performed, and of course individual factors in your personal case. I suggest you meet with your prospective doctor, and also have the cause of your hair loss properly diagnosed as there could be other treatments available to you, such as DHT-blockers if male pattern hair loss is confirmed in your case. I hope this helps you.
Hi @englishwithmr.mohamedmahmo4477, Sorry to hear about your problem. There is a range in manifestation of Marcus Gunn jaw winking, so there isn't a single treatment that applies to every case. You do need to see an experienced doctor to determine the severity, and treatment can be determined from there. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi@@englishwithmr.mohamedmahmo4477, Surgery may not be the best course of action, and an examination is needed to assess severity before stability of the eyelashes is determined. If you want definite answers, a physical examination is needed. i hope this clarifies things for you.
I have bad ugly ptosis in right eye gue to injury...I'm in England UK and bin to many hospitals and surgeons who say they can't fix it....even asked them to take the eye out and fit phrosohetic eye and they say no...????..it's bad and painful and closeing up and now crossed
Hi Terry Blaze, Sorry to hear about your problem. I would have to examine your right eyelid, and right eye anatomy to determine what can be done for your case. Without an examination, I can't say for sure if something can be done to help you.
Hi@@terryblaze1839, You need to have an examination with an experienced oculoplastic/ oculofacial plastic surgeon, like myself who specializes in eyelid ptosis correction, and eyelid reconstruction. Our offices are in New York if you are considering a consultation.
My mrv report says.. non visualization of transverve sinus in brain.. and right eyelid is droopy... is it due to blockage in transverse sinus?? Dr reply plz
Hi @beenyshobbies9965, I suggest you discuss your full results with the doctor who ordered your tests, as this is just a portion of your results. I hope this helps you.
Thank you. I had vivace radio frequency microneedling she went around my eye with a high heat. The eye that hurt more and was more red during procedure was injured After procedure my jaw was tight tongue felt weird my eyebrow went down I have a bulge on inner eyelid ophthalmologist said I have brow prolapse also have fat loss dent on inner eye. It’s been 7 months and my eyelid is still droopy have a pain in my ear and temple. I can hear my heartbeat in my ear on the side that was injured. Cosmetic dermatologist told me esthetician injured my nerves on my temple where I have fat loss dent. I had an mri they said I have trigeneral neuralgia. Seen an ocular surgeon and he won’t fix my eye because he says it only 1mm of droopiness . I hate taking pics because looks like I have a lazy eyelid. I don’t know if I need eyelid lift or a brow lift. Was told not to do anything to my eye for at least a yr. It’s been 7 months and my eye still looks ugly I have no idea how to fix the dent of fat loss on inner eye there’s a dent into my nose. Was told its risky to inject filler or prf.
Hi april Cloyce, Sorry to hear what happened to you, but I would have to assess your eye area myself before I can determine procedures that may help with your current appearance.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD ty I saved the contact info you sent me one day I will make an appointment go to NY. We appreciate your skill knowledge you have helping people ty
Hi @susandeche2937, Sorry to hear about your problem. The cause of eyelid ptosis needs to be properly diagnosed. Neurological causes can be diagnosed, and ruled out by a neurologist. Eyelid ptosis caused by a weak eyelid muscle needs diagnosis from an oculoplastic surgeon, or an ophthalmologist. You can refer to this video on how I diagnose eyelid ptosis as an oculoplastic surgeon, also trained as an ophthalmologist - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7gWSjQce3DQ.html
Hello I have a quick question, I fell down on my face really hard on ice and get stitches a week later I noticed that my left eye is droopy will it will my eye go back to normal size and how long it will take to heal?
Hi @pinkllamafriends2844, Sorry to hear about your injury. The droopiness in your left eye needs a proper diagnosis, as an injury to the face/eyes can injure the muscle that lifts the eyelid. You can refer to this video on how I would measure function of the upper eyelid muscle - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7gWSjQce3DQ.html

Hello, can you tell about massage with overcorrection? I can’t ask my doctor, because i moved to another country! I have surgery 5 mounth ago! Please! I am in despair Sorry for my English !!!! It’s not my native language!
Hi Morning cuisine, I hope you understand that I can't recommend massage without examining your condition, as it also has the potential to undo your surgeon's work. Overcorrection is often addressed with additional surgery for the eyelids to close fully. If you are really distressed about it, I suggest you see an oculoplastic surgeon in your new country for a proper examination, and recommendations based on the examination. I hope this helps you.
Thanks. Hi DR. I over exfoliated my face skin more than 3 years ago and my skin color looked like burned skin sometimes ever since and skin does not look healthy at all. moisturizers didn't help. what kind of treatment do you recommend please?
Hi, I hope you understand that I would have to examine your skin first before recommending specific treatments for you. Making treatment recommendations without basis may harm your skin. If you can't see us for an examination, I suggest you consult with a local dermatologist who can examine your skin, and make recommendations based on their examination. I hope this helps you.
sir i had severe acne for that i was on accutane the day i was off accutane i went for mnrf treatment which just changed my skin . i have acne scars all over my face and needle holes (2 month) . i never had that before but dr suggest . please tell me what to do ? . can i risk for laser ?
Hi Pallavi Pandey, I recommend that people be off isotretinoin/Accutane for at least a year before they have any aggressive skin treatments as isotretinoin leaves the skin very fragile. You can refer to this video about it - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3_s6FhEbgtI.html
HELLO I'M SHAKHZODA I'M 28 YEARS OLD. I HAVE COMPLETE UNILATERAL CONGENITAL PTOSIS. WHEN I CHEW OR OPEN THE MOUTH, MY DOWN EYE OPENS. WHEN I'M PHOTOGRAPHED I CAN OPEN THE DOWN EYE TEMPORARY, I HAVE MARCUS HUNN'S SYNDROME. My vision is one healthy eye 0.8, the other LOWERED EYE 0.3. PLEASE TELL ME IN THIS CASE HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE OPERATION. Local doctors said that we are operating, the lowered eye opens, but when you chew, the eye continues to move. This eye closes again gradually. But we do not give a guarantee so they said. PLEASE SAY IN AMERICA DO SUCH OPERATION ALSO. AFTER THE OPERATION, MY EYE CAN WORK NORMALLY. Is there any hope for this operation?
Hi @shahzodaganiyeva1355, Sorry to hear about your problem. Your doctors are right that nothing can be done for your eyes drooping when you chew as it is a nerve issue, not an issue with the muscle that is treated with surgery. I would only recommend surgery if the eyelids are drooping when not chewing. I hope this clarifies things for you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMDHello, I'm sorry, but you misunderstood me a little. NORMALLY MY EYE IS CLOSED, WHEN I MUST OR MOUTH OPEN MY EYELD IS UP, THAT IS MY DOWN EYE IS OPENING. IT DOESN'T CLOSED.
Hi@@shahzodaganiyeva1355, You would need an examination for further advice as surgery does not treat the neurological cause of your condition. If you can't see us, and you've already seen doctors in your country, you can consult with a university ophthalmologist who studies these neurological conditions closely. I hope this helps you.
Hi Mahfuj Ahmed, It is common for eyelid ptosis surgery to be needed more than once in a lifetime. The levator muscle that lifts the upper eyelid is engaged thousands of times a day, every day. Also, the goal is not to get perfectly symmetrical eyelids because there is a natural difference of positioning of the eyes, as well as eyelid height due to bone structure. You can refer to these videos about them: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4FHEWqPKZMU.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1WvlL2djMZU.html
Hi Adeela Afzal, Sorry to hear about your daughter's problem. It is likely temporary hair shedding due to the stress of Covid on the body. Hair shedding due to severe stress is called telogen effluvium, and usually does not require treatment for shed hair to grow back. However, I still suggest you see a local doctor for a proper examination and diagnosis. I hope this helps you.
what if someone has ptosis that could be caused by premature birth. Can ptosis be a likely cause of premature birth. Do you think it is necessary to perform surgery if it doesn’t affect vision (apart from wearing glasses). What if the person only wears glasses because their vision is blurry not because they feel their eyelids are hindering their sight? If that makes sense. (Glasses could run in the family) and it doesn’t cover the pupils of the eye? Do you think it’s necessary just for cosmetic reasons?
Hi @sharonadesina_., Eyelid ptosis is not a cause of premature birth. Partial coverage of the pupil in infants due to ptosis can affect visual development. If ptosis mild, and is not partially covering the pupil, then ptosis won't affect vision, but there are other factors that reduce visual acuity, such as genetics, as you mention. Mild ptosis not affecting vision is not absolutely necessary to correct, and would be an elective cosmetic eyelid surgery. I hope this clarifies things for you.
thank you for the clarification. However, in doing my research, I found that the eye develops in the last stages of pregnancy, which can affect the eye muscle of the eyelids. If this is so, could premature birth affect ptosis in the sense of growth. Because we know that premature birth can hinder many health developments.@@AmiyaPrasadMD
Hi@@sharonadesina_., While it is possible for ptosis to occur due to be born prematurely, your original question was if ptosis itself could cause premature birth, which it does not. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I came down with Horners syndrome 20 months ago. My right side pupil didn’t dilate, no sweat on the right side of my head, and I had a droopy eye lid on the right side. The Drs did all the testing and couldn’t find anything causing it. About 4-5 months ago the sweat came back and so did the pupil dilation, but my eye lid still droops! Will it ever heal on its own or do have to get surgery? 😢
Hi @tarirealty, Sorry to hear about your problem. I would have to see your test results, as well as examine your eyelids personally in consultation to diagnose your condition, and answer your question.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD why would you need to see the test results if there was nothing found? I’ve seen 3 different neurologist and they all said the same thing. Have you ever seen a patient with droopy eye lid from Horners that healed on its own after some time?
Hi@@tarirealty, I would need to see test results for a proper second opinion. As an oculoplastic surgeon, I treat ptosis due to a stretched or detached levator muscle that lifts the eyelid. If ptosis is due to a neurological condition, I may refer these issues to a neurologist. Since I have not examined you, nor do I normally treat neurological causes of ptosis, I defer to the judgment and diagnoses of your neurologists who have examined your condition.
Hi Anu m, As long as the tattooing is done hygienically, performed by an experienced artist, and your skin is not particularly sensitive to the trauma of tattoo needles, a tattoo should not affect your skin in negative way. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Sir iam 20 years old suffering from mpb. Ive started fin coz iam going through late adolscene. I will start it by next yr. Ive seen a lot of hairs falling in one time from my back area also. I ve stressed a lot from the last 2 wks. May be this is telogen effluvim. So my question is will those hairs grow back if i don't take finasterade. Do they grow back Atleast in the back area
Hi Your Jewel, Finasteride is for slowing hair thinning in men sensitive to the hormone DHT, not for preventing hair shedding. It is normal to shed 50-100 hairs a day, but the hair will grow back. Pattern hair loss happens when those hairs grow back thinner after every shed, there is a delay in regrowth, and the number of regrowth cycles become more limited. You can refer to this video about it - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1B1hz-mTs38.html
@@AmiyaPrasadMD hello doctor I’ve had two prior ptosis surgeries I was wondering if you would make an evaluation and if it is possible for you to see a patient under these circumstances
Hi@@TheJohn11748, Having more than one eyelid ptosis surgery in a lifetime is quite common because the levator muscle is engaged thousands of times a day, every day, so there is a lot of wear. I would need to see records of your past surgeries, as well as perform a ptosis exam. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi BigCityKid, You could see an ophthalmologist (eye surgeon) first for a diagnosis. If they diagnose a neurological cause, then they can refer you to the appropriate neurologist, or neuro-ophthalmologist. I hope this clarifies things for you.
