I cover the important neurology concepts to know for NCLEX, HESI and ATI and how to prioritize and delegate patient care. I teach you how to recognize cues in the question to lead you to the right answer choice while showing you why the other choices are wrong.

When I’m taking my exams I envision you yelling at me when eliminating answers and it helps narrow it down to the answer or at least throw some out 😬😂

I’m on my last semester, I go to class and read the books, but doing practice questions with you an the energy you bring with your knowledge is GOLD. I must have shared your videos with at least 5 people this week. Your rationales are fantastic! Thank you so much. I have a major exam tomorrow and I wish I could carry you like Jimmity Cricket to snap me out of it every time I overthink questions

Hi professor D, I stumbled upon your fluid and electrolytes videos two days before my exam. You mentioned on the videos about your website where there will be more information covered. I went to your website and I watched, took notes in regards to wound care, and within those two days I understood everything in regards to fluid and electrolyte and wound care that I've learned all semester. I'm proud to say I passed the exam with an 88%. My next exam is next week, and this is on Musskeleton, neurologic exam, anus rectum and prostate, female genitalia, abdomen, and peripheral vascular and lymphatics. Needless to say I will be looking for all your videos pertaining to my upcoming exams. I wish I have stumbled upon your video at the beginning of my semester. I want to thank you for everything you doing for us students, who are struggling and need understanding in inorder to be successful in nursing school. I shared your videos with my friends in school, we all need you! Thank you professor D!

Hi Professor D, first off I have to say I really love your videos! Quick question, for autonomic dysreflexia, doesn't the heart rate actually go down? I was taught blood pressure goes up, but heart rate goes down. Thank you!
@shindean716
@shindean716 9 месяцев назад
Hi! This is just my attempt to explain what I understand regarding your question on autonomic dysreflexia. Autonomic dysreflexia occurs when, basically, there is a distended bladder - anything that can cause urine to accumulate to the bladder. In normal physiology, the body will send a controlled response telling it to excrete the urine through urination. In autonomic dysreflexia, however, there is an exaggerated response of norepinephrine and one of it's function is vasoconstriction. When an exaggerated response of norepinephrine occurs, blood pressure tend to rise incredibly fast - making autonomic dysreflexia an emergency. It becomes an emergency as uncontrolled/unsustained hypertension will essentially lead to seizure, stroke, or even death. Hope that answered your question.

Why isn't the answer for question #1 lumbar spinal cord injury?
@fedginelaguerre6737
@fedginelaguerre6737 2 года назад
@Kelly rubeo..that was my question 😬😬😬
@gabbymitchell706gmail
@gabbymitchell706gmail 2 года назад
the spinal cord injury itself doesn’t cause autonomic dysreflexia. It’s the noxious stimulus that causes it in patients who ALREADY have Spinal cord injuries. Just because a patient has an SCI doesn’t mean that they will get autonomic dysreflexia. The bridge that connects the two is noxious stimuli. Hope that helped :)

And again in the previous Neuro video she said it is mainly spinal injury around the chest area not lumbar area
