You know there are lot of people that work in professions where they are not on social media… they are doctors, engineers, etc. they are continuing their work and don’t need to have an account.
If you take a group of 23 people the probability of 2 people sharing a birthday is greater than 50%, and if you take a group of 70 people then the prob. goes to 99.9%
One of the worst habits social media has given me is that I constantly keep repeating the things I saw in my head and keep commenting on them, like I am constantly talking to myself in my head where my emotions change every fuckin second. Like its so bad that when I wake up after an 7-8 hour sleep, i dont even feel like I slept
I'm so happy to see aishwarya after so long.. pls tell her I love her and that people are waiting for her to put out content.. I love love love the way she narrates her stories❤️❤️
Me too but i usually am a hoe for long form content so yeah! That definitely doesn't discount my short form media addiction 😞 it's just I can do this as well hehe!
Agree with Aishwarya’s comment. 34:00. If general audience start creating, they’ll realise the pain and effort it takes to create a hit reel. Even if their reel fails, they don’t think it’s luck of the bigger creator, but the quality of their content that got it’s virality.
Fasting from social will be a thing!!! The way our ancestors brought various fasting rituals for diffrent pleasure from food to sex , we should also bring fasting from social media so you're not premeantly away from it but you can control it so you don't get addicted !!!!!
Would like to say that i m in the room alone and even i m saying out loud my thoughts about social media like i m sitting with all these people ,like am i crazy ,prolly not
How to lower tolerance? - Go in for something like Vipassana or actually Vipassana where the phone isn't with you, withdrawal happens and you come back with being happy with less screen time too.
16:58 Tanmay- I caught my self watching this tutorial... Me- Waaaaaaaahhhhhh... "you"... caught "yourself".... watching this tutorial.... Kaise karte ho ye mushkil kaarya... Hey prabhu... Hey Raamkrishnaw Jagannaath, Ye kyaa huaa?
Varun Thakur as a co-host with Tanmay and Rohan would make this podcast channel unmatchable...! Tanmay will bring the flow to the content... Rohan is witty... while Varun's story telling skill is the best!
Right after you mentioned how the number of cuts have been increased and shot-span has reduced, I started counting seconds between the cuts in the podcast :P And NONE OF THEM were longer than 5 seconds damn
"boredom is vilified because of capitalism" The discomfort we feel when we’re “not being productive” is a sign of internalized capitalism. This is my biggest takeaway from this podcast. I love the long-form of content which is candid, un-scripted, well-put out and well thought. Felt like a group therapy lol
I think majority of us are on instagram coz we just want some part of us alive out on the internet .. we fear ppl forgetting us so it more like the fear of getting forgotten that keeps us from deleting it and then the algorithms works to keep us hooked to these reels which we cannot escape now .
Hey Just wanted to know if this Podcast is Genuine or just a paid promotion Tanmay does a podcast on neurosurgery of social media then a podcast with Koh Gaye Hum kaha Starcast The movie which talks abt the social media vicious cycle For a person whose career is built on social media is this a concern of genuine interest or just a paid promotion😅
Aap logo ne isska solution kya hai??, isska deep me dimaag pe kya asar padta hai?? Most of the time you guys talked about how you all are addiceted social media.... this subject was so important but aapne aise hi nikal diya
Get some sort of a deep passion or an ambition and focus on the process of achieving it, that kind of gives you the dopamine without depending on anyone/anything.
Hello Tanmay I'm writing this to let you know how much we appreciate you. I have been listening to you constantly for days now on all kinds of channels, wherever i can find you talking. Listening to you talk about your journey is very inspiring and helps me get through my day. Keep being you. Thank you so much!
great discussion genuinely insightful but the pathological approach to how we function is something that bothers me. Not everything we do or seek is just chemicals it's being derived from our surroundings and our sociological aspects. With all of the humour and light heartedness of this conversation I wish this gets highlighted more. Pathologically kitna hi rationalise karoge, apne aaaaspaaas bhi dekho thoda.
38:37 I disagree. You can just walk to your favorite place a couple of miles away, and walk back, just because you are bored. And you will feel more excited by the thoughts that came in your mind in that time. Coz because of the content you consumed, your dam of ideas will just flood out in the openness of boredom.
