massive respect to Neurosis theyve carried on where Gira and Swans left off. U want sick tunes try Swans Cop album, this band are the only thing even slightly close when it comes to soul bearing tunes that DEMOLISH you as you listen.

This was the album that got me into Neurosis 13 years ago (I was 16). Between this one and EHG's 'Confederacy of Ruined Lives' I've been a sludge/doom fan ever since.

Well put, my friend. I am religious as well but I cringe when I see some people bashing Atheists for whatever reason. Live and let live, we're all humans here. Also, this album is badass as hell.

I once decided to listen to this album loud as fuck while on acid and when I got to the part of this song that starts around 4:35 I started having a really bad trip, the walls in the room started to look like they were melting and with each slow chord the heavy, distorted guitar played I felt like I was getting smaller and I just felt like I was losing it. I turned the music off immediately and didn't listen to neurosis for some time after that...

I love this song, but for me it ends at 4:33 after that its just tedious, the same for many other songs of Neurosis, I love their tune.
