"Jeff Mangum assembled and recorded this project in 1992, only the second to be released under the Neutral Milk Hotel moniker. Distinguished from his 1990 project of the same title, “Beauty” featured 10 original demos, and two that would be re-recorded and reimagined on Mangum’s first full length LP, “On Avery Island.”

you put this out a couple of weeks after my hometown went into lockdown and i clung to it like a lifeline. i didn't know if the world was gonna make it then. now i'm out and about lost in a foreign country, and this is still as comforting as it was three years ago. many many thanks for your work 🙏
