Neuvillette's Story Quest Made Me CRY | Genshin Impact 4.1 

Did Neuvillette's story quest convince you to pull for him if you haven't already?

I think what makes that final montage so good, is it's Neuvillette both looking back and "feeling back" to those significant memories. Those were all memories that had a lot of sadness associated with them, but also, looking back, he's seeing a lot of sadness that stands as a mark of his impact on Fontaine: from the day Elynas was almost reawakaned, the Melusine were born; Wriothsley was sentenced to prison, but ended up making it a better place; Navia lost her father to Nevuillette's judgement, but now, they have a much better and more understanding relationship; and then there's the House of the Hearth, whose marking of Neuvillette as the "true symbol of justice" for Fontaine proves how integrated he is in Fontainian society. It's with these brighter perspectives that Neuvillette is able to clear his own skies

I will confess this questline made me cry too. It was the ending cutscene where neuv saw carole and vautrin is what got me.

I had Neuvillette already, C1 R1 and I love him…. This story quest was heartbreaking and beautiful.

When it comes to this story quest in terms of the theme of prejudice and hate, it really hits home for me since I can relate to their situation where I had trouble fitting in. And also this story quest, can be a box office movie in itself cause the storytelling is ABSOLUTELY TOP NOTCH as always. With that said, I absolutely loved this story quest a lot and ngl it really got me emotional too 😢

the police force changed their symbol on the hats, to commemorate Carole sacrifice now instead of just a scale symbol it included a Melusines on it, it was one of the dialogs of NPCs i believe that you missed!

This was one of the best quests I have done in my gaming history. It remains in the realm of Fantasy and Teyvet, yet tackles real life issue and teach many lessons, Simply fantastic and this quest also tied to a strong leader in charge of Justice system, it is a direct jab at people in charge of Justice systems in real life for being weak to deliver justice, and the other part is for each Society to thrive, their need to be sacrifices and the heroes that do this might stay hidden in history like Vautrin, but they are still around, they never truly die and they will Cherish the result of the revolution they started, at the end we saw the last Scene when our Melusine wakes up from the dream to confirm that Carole is still watching, she still cares. Simply Perfect.

Gemshin has made me sad and shed tears before, but this was the closest I've been to breaking, Fontaine just does not hold back.

He mentioned nations, plural. So defo more than one. And Durin is not a born dragon though. He is created dragon from Khaenri'ah so he can't be a sovereign. And there's not much evidences to say Dvalin is the Anemo sovereign at least for now. Honestly Azhdaha is the only one I strongly believe to be a Geo sovereign. He called Morax an Usuper, a word only Neuvillette and Apep had used to describe the Primordial One. He is way older like an Ancient dragon kind of old. When he was sufferings erosion, he expresses hatred for Morax, which Kun Jun mentioned that his other half just forgot of his best friend. And we know from Apep, that dragons before abhor the Gods too and now they are amiable. Azhdaha could be the example. He was described at Lord of the Vishap or something along the line which is also a description that EN used for the Hydro Sovereign.

I just realized those lines are related to the Narzissenkreuz events from the past where the Marechaussee Phantom found out about the Ordo's plan Lore alert: afaik René, founder of the Narzissenkreuz Ordo, wanted to overcome the prophecy by performing a radical ritual in the Tower of Gestalt to seperate the Fontainian's consciousness from their bodies in order for them to be reborn as a united "new form of human". To avoid getting disturbed by the Marechaussee, he set up a "red herring" by sending his friend Jakob together with Caterpillar (the Hilichurl) and Lyris (Oceanid and former director of the Narzissenkreuz orphanage) to the dead remaining of Elynas. The hunt ended with an explosion inside Elynas which killed most of the Marechausse members (including Alain Guillotine's sister Mary Ann, acompanied by the robot dog Seymour), destroyed all Garde mechs and scattered the pieces all around. Lyris "saved" Mary Ann's consiusness by absorbing her and secluded "themself" to the Annapausis. Caterpillar was sentenced to Fort Meropide, and Jakob disappeared only to show up later and secretly try to fix/bring back Rene, whose ritual didn't go as intended... Later, the Melusines were born from the bleeding wounds of Elynas from the explosion, each with a mechanical piece which they hold so dear since birth.

While yeah, people clown on Genshin's goofiness and silly antics because it's really childish. But that's what makes the game genuinely better than any other game. Seriousness in most games (especially gacha) do it in a very uninteresting way to the point that it's just boring
