@@ennieeeYT Actually its more fucked up because if you look at the girl who was Arlecchino's friend. She wore a Lumidoce bell pin on her all the time. And its implied that she was the previous Knave's "Biological" daughter. So the line about "Pruning" the flowers before they became "grotesque" is more of her disgust with her own daughter. Saying she should have "Deleted" her own child from the game herself long ago. She basically use to train and beat her own daughter because she felt she was to "Soft". And she raised the kids to be killers and basically locked them all in for a free for all death match. And the last one standing would be her successor and become the "King" she mentions. The way its portrayed is that her friend "Made" Arlecchino stab her. Believing she was the only one worthy to become the "King" and end the cycle. The Blond girl also had a Bulle fruit ornament in her hair.... which we also see hanging off of a bloodied Dull blade. Implying that she also was killed as well. Leaving Arlecchino as the soul survivor. And with her rage of losing her 1 possibly 2 friends in a pointless slaughter for their "Mothers" amusement and game. She went to kill the previous Knave herself. But in doing so... she in term became the very thing that the her "Mother" wanted her to be. Making it a cruel twist of fate in the end. And since she despises the Previous Knave so much... its why she chose the name "Father" instead. As you can even hear her hesitate and pause for a moment when speaking to the orphan, as she didn't want to call herself Mother...

@@Vert344 This is accurate. The only thing that puzzles me is why she is loyal to the Tsaritsa afterwards. I don't fully understand that about her lore, but there is time for rebellion. You have to assume that "Mother" only did what Tsaritsa ordered her to do in Fontaine, and Arlecchino is intelligent enough to realise that because she knows how the order works. Yet she stays loyal, it is true that she owes her life, but she would never have been in that situation unless she was forced.

@@anwitdas7632 I'm pretty sure it was Hydro. If you pause the frame right when she's summoning the water sword, it doesn't look like normal particles that would form from Cyro, but instead looks more water like. Plus if Cryo goes up against a fire attack, it wouldn't just explode like that. It would melt, not vaporize into an explosion like that.

So arlecchino making a army while mother making 1 soldier which is more contributing to the order
