That mom that was calling her daughters lies "whatever" is the kind of parent that makes me angry. She is defending her daughter like she's an angel instead of scolding her for doing something wrong. I've seen a lot of parents do this because they see their child as a reflection of themselves, if their child is not perfect then that means that they themselves are not perfect. So they try to act like their child does nothing wrong in order to feel better about themselves and that's just setting your kid up to think they can do whatever the heck they want with no repercussions--like lie and say a man you met on the internet sent you a ring.
