I rented a 458 3 years ago from them. I met Huston and I have to say he is one of the most down to earth and chill people I've met. He really gives you the experience that it is your car. I remember he just through the key to me like there you have fun see you later. When i came back he was like how did that car feel at 170 mph. I was like you knew how fast I was going. He told yes because of the GPS system he has on it and was like dude don't worry about as long as you had fun. LOL Love that place.

Raul Quiñones, great story, if I'm ever fortunate enough, I would love that experience......but I have 3 kids ages 3, 10 &13 as well as an older daughter w/2 grandkids (starting over in life 10 & 13yr. old are my step-kids) and all have to go to college so renting one would be next to impossible and owning one would be unimaginable, so I have to enjoy you guy's experiences! @@_-Montana-_ Exactly, I live in Long Beach CA and commute to Orange county, one day I saw a dude screaming down the 405 north in rush hour between the carpool and fast lane, a squad car is a couple seconds later this was a large gap space 2 double yellows. Cyclist went around the John Wayne airport thinking he could shake the helo. Anyway I lost sight of him, i later looked at the reports and they followed him at a distance, the helicopter infrared cams were trained on his glowing hot engine, they let him think he got away pulled into his garage, moments later a swarm of Orange County officers around his home.. Once the helicopter is launched and they have cameras on you, its over.. People dont realize these helo cops have the same access to cameras as the US military operating overseas, the technology has just become insane.

Yup. Super speeding. It's a felony in the state of Georgia. I was arrested on the spot. I did sign my own bond and was out within a few hours. But yea he is super lucky. But luck struck me by surprise when the judge couldn't see how a 1986 toyota corola could maintain a speed of 165.

Normally most exotic rental car rates seem overpriced but $14,000/day for a Veyron actually seems reasonable, especially a custom one. Houston seems like a cool dude. I wouldn't have given him a ticket if I was the cop, I would have just asked if I could come by when I was off work and get a ride in it. LOL

While all that sounds funny, thats just unrealistic, cause hed never risk his job for a ride in the bugatti. After all, hes there to enforce the law. By writing the ticket for 110 in a 65 when he probably really was doing 200, is still letting him off pretty well Id say.

venom5809 No, he could have written him for 200, whether it would have stood up in court is up to the judge. He ADMITTED going 200, so it doesn't matter what the radar said. The cop could have arrested him. (If NV laws are anything like most other states.)

Got my first speeding award for 165mph in a 55. Was thrown out in court. Judge asked the highway patrol how my 1986 toyota corola could reach such speeds. I mentioned I have a 20b rotary engine swap. The judge just glanced at me then stared back at the officer. A moment of silence, then I hear the officer say, don't worry I know where this kid hangs out, ill get him again. I still occasionally see the highway patrol officer.

Concur, I've done a FEW 160mph pulls on my GTR and no way he's pulling a 200mph run on those highway conditions. I'm not here to tell you that a Bugatti can't do +260mph, I'm here to say that in this case & video, this is a big exaggeration for publicity (and views). At 160mph on a mostly empty highway, you will find traffic QUICK! And if a cop would even see you doing close to 200mph, he will be calling for back up because that car is going to the inpund and driver to jail (if caught - see GTR police escape).

You proved honesty is not always the best policy. :) Great video. The closest I'll get to driving a Bugatti is in Forza Horizon 4 for now. It's awesome in the game, can't imagine in reality. Recently Tracy Morgan's brand new Bugatti got sideswiped in NYC. I wanted to cry for him.

No, the electric motors do not power the front (maybe you're thinking of the 918), all the power goes to the rear wheels. That's why Top Gear called it the widow maker.

The Veyron, mechanically speaking, is an engineering Mt. Everest. Just the specs on paper should make any car guy swoon. What has ALWAYS killed me about that car is that aesthetically it is uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugly. You can tell that so much of the exterior design was sacrificed to make way for aerodynamics, internal component space, etc. The Chiron is a bit better on the eyes, but not by much. The company that always floored me with their blend of design and breakneck speed is Pagani. The Huyra, for example, is visually stunning and at the end of the day, just as capable of putting a smile on your face while it puts your kidneys through your back. I've wanted a Zonda since I first laid eyes on one and I'd pick that over the Veyron any day. That being said, all due respect to one of the titans of speed. The Veyron is a sleeping dragon and it looks like a lot of fun to wake it up.

That car is just simple amazing. It's one of the few pinnacle cars that while yes, there are more modern versions, bigger, badder, etc out there, just the image of this thing will always be breathtaking. McLaren F1 is another. Timeless.
