I mean... Juri having a loss of purpose bevause of Bison getting destroyed right under her nose and only enabling a new Shadaloo so she can crush it herself is an interesting angle and the only natural place to go with the character. She burnt so many bridges and put so many people 6 feet under for what? To become a bounty hunter who has to cope with what she's done up until this point being a fruitless effort? Plus I also just enjoy Rogues in stories. It gives somebody Chun Li can keep track of while she mentors a student.

Pretty sure they know what they're doing at least with Juri. Being barefoot is supposedly good at keeping you balance but it's pretty obvious they're inserting a lot of fan service with Juri in this game for one reason or another. Likely marketing.

I have said this before and that is Juri reminds me of Pizzazz from Jem, the only difference is that Juri is far more ruthless than Pizzazz is because while Pizzazz wants to beat Jem to prove that The Misfits are better than The Holograms, she won't cross certain lines such as murder. Whereas with Juri she not only wants to beat Chun-Li, but she has at times come as close to killing her and Juri will cross those lines.
