3D printing resin can be harmful to you if used improperly & I don’t just mean that it can cause you to develop a resin allergy.
If resin or even residual resin is left on the skin & you go into an area with lots of UV say a night club or even outside on a bright sunny day you may quickly find that the left over resin on your skin is now giving you a severe thermal burn as the curing of resin is exothermic meaning it releases heat.
Unfortunately, this heat can result in a positive feedback loop where the extra heat produced causes the resin to cure faster which in turn makes even more heat. I measured the max temp of resin curing to be around 170°F with most being closer to the 140s which is still more than hot enough to cause burns if skin is exposed to it for even a few seconds.
Best practice would be to never let resin touch your skin directly as it can not only be an allergy risk but also a burn risk.

"Let me clean resin off my body using blacklight and peeling it off" is a thought I never once had in 5 years of resin printing.

Not to mention that the resin will seep into every small crack of your skin, and yes, your skin has microscopic cracks. Now imagine having not 100 degree hot water, which has a surface tension large enough to at least stay on top of your skin, but 100 degree hot stuff that's seeping into every nook and heating your, say, fingerprint grooves from the top, left, right, front and back. And unlike water, it doesn't evaporate when it hits 100 degrees. It stays. And it sticks. You WISH you only had dealt with 100 degree water!

Why not just skip the alcohol and straight to soap and water? Legitimately curious.

The vast majority of resin is not soluble in water except for ones designed specifically for water washing. Although it’s possible to wash some of the resin off with soap & water there will be a good bit of residual resin left on the skin. I’ve had this happen before & barely noticed a near invisible film resin left on the skin which becomes painful noticeable when you walk outside in the sun & it starts to cure
