> "4 minutes AFK. " >"Freezing." Now a true story of a poor Grey Ruling. No judges online for timezone issues apparently. G2 against Runick Mine. Game completely solved in my favour, I make the capital sin of considering Reino a dark for the summon of Dharc. The opponent doesn't allow me to rewind over that illegal play. Time for a 1 hour long judge waiting room having my opponent ignoring any of my proofs (including Coder videos) displaying how an illegal play is managed. He started to type again immediately after Grey comes in. Grey comes, gives me a minor for the missplay, rewinds and leaves. He said "videos are not substitutes of a judging". Now, I know this is controversial because having a judge ruling is an undeniable right. Still, being subjected to a clear " DC fishing" attempt may harm other ppl experience at the same time. How the Grey hasn't seen this whole thing as malicious remains a riddle to me. I love Coder's rulings because he punishes unsportsmanlike conduct meant to exploit the site's weaknesses (herein the lack of staff). Pity how not everyone is on the same page.
Dueling Book is so silly, nothing would happen if the two players came to a conclusion like "oh yeah sure mb for misplaying it will just not do anything" or just letting them have it
This is why I like playing on dueling nexus and other sites where the game proceeds automatically. No ruling contests, no attempts to shark, no desperate attempts to get someone banned when nothing is wrong. You either know your deck and play well, or you learn along the way by analyzing your misplays in the moment rather than during a long judge call with an impatient asshole for an opponent.
@@TimothyGod keldo adding as part of its summon effects resolves as part of the same chain link as it's summon, assuming I understand it's effect. Edit: yes, that's exactly how it would work.
honestly this sucks for the guy who played at his job because of how monotonous it was :( but yeah sadly this hobby just isnt compatible with his needs and his opponents shouldnt be subject to random pausing for no good reason
Yeah, I've been there, boring jobs can suck bad, but if you're gonna goof off at work, at least don't do it with a 2 player game that can inconvenience the other player lol
@@olliezoop yeah exactly. alternatively just be ready and willing to eat the loss if you have to leave. just like.... it's not fair to leave the other person hanging because of YOUR circumstances. the risk should be on your shoulders
I can only play on mobile. Whenever I played in rated I had a copy pasta saying I am on mobile and may have lag and controls issues and that I would be playing slightly slow, but I made sure none of my moves took more than 10 seconds without typing something
People that work with parcels/deliverypeople have to deal with safeguarding a great volume of mail, and have to deal with going into stranger's apartment complexes, deal with dog attacks while having little to no weapon of their own, and harsh weather conditions on foot... I have a feeling this guy avoids as many of those troubles as possible
Keldo's effect to search is mandatory, so I don't understand how the dispute was resolved. Clearly the opponent is sharking, but the player who summoned keldo must search. Did I miss something?
Bro the guy who kept freezing games for minutes multiple times because he was playing at work. How do guys get away with these things 😂Glad DistantCoder didn't let that nonsense keep going.
that person later messaged coder to say their job is literally to sit in a warehouse all day and sometimes open the door. honestly sucks for them and i totally get why theyre playing on the job but yeah you cant expect your opponents to deal with you randomly pausing for extended periods of time. guy needs a different hobby is all edit: or at least they need to be willing to eat the loss if theyre interrupted mid duel. like if you really want to use db on the job you could totally do so as long as youre willing to leave the duel when needed because you're the one taking the risk, your opponent has no obligation to wait for you
@@epicfail7874 yeah but just stick to casual and look away when important stuff comes up. Don't have to worry about rulings and shit on auto sims or dealing with other people in general on MD. And if you take to long and end up disconnecting, oh well that's what casual is for
This is why these other Yu-Gi-Oh apps suck they have to rely each player being honest and when they're not you have to rely on the judge being honest when if you just play a real Yu-Gi-Oh game the effects activate and apply in the correct order in which they are supposed to and you don't have to hope that your opponent is honest
Absolutely not, master duels have eliminated the need for any judges. The game is slow enough as it is. The only reason people want judges is so bad/cheating players can manipulate the duel in their favor. The games already slow enough. I don't need some try hard loser calling for a judge whenever their boards get broken.
God no, I already encouter dozen of people try to argue Ash can't negate Branded Fusion while Branded Lost is on field, I don't need judge to drag out the games and having to over explain something simple. Also MD automatic system which highlighted cards you can activate is enough to know what can and can't be use.
@@Hempujonsito I mean if he has enough time to play multiple games without getting caught mean it's probably just a job we're you only need to work when they need you like an it tech or a secretary.
Dude I absolutely lose my mind when I see coder dropped a judge call video by far my favorite thing on RU-vid 🤣 and to see dawnstar yesterday make an appearance 🤌
Maliciously ditching a ranked match after trying to rule shark for an advantage should result in a warning at the very least. Why waste the judges time at that point if you're just going to leave because you couldn't force the opponent to use an effect they didn't declare due to an illegal action.
tbf to the Keldo guy, it's kinda odd that Keldo adds the relevant trap as part of the same effect as the special summon. Just kinda makes sense in your head to assume it's a trigger effect after being summoned. Most cards are. Then again, Sheiren and Havnis are the same way. Eh, probably just picked up the deck.
@@megamachopop I know. What I'm saying is that given precedents set by other cards it's understandable to not realize that on first glance. Earlier cards like dogmatika ecclesia or speedroid terrortop have their summoning condition/effect, then have a separate trigger effect. There's a precedent for this being the expectation for cards that search.
I NEED MAD RULING HELP WHEN IT COMES TO CARDS THAT LET YOU CHOOSE WHICH EFFECT YOU WANNW ACTIVATE ON A CARD WITH MORE THEN 1 EFFECT So one thing I came into when playing runic sprites was how runic tip interacted with ash. It was my understanding that when you activate runic tip you choose which effect you are activating and when you do any other effect that you didn’t pick is gone, it’s like it’s not on the card anymore. So if I activate runic tip to special summon hugin from extra deck, can my opponent chain ashe blossom and joyous spring to negate Tip?
ash reads When a card or effect is activated that includes any of these effects (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; negate that effect. ● Add a card from the Deck to the hand. ● Special Summon from the Deck. ● Send a card from the Deck to the GY. You can only use this effect of "Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring" once per turn. since tip is a card that has an effect to: Add a card from the Deck to the hand. you can discard ash to negate it regardless of the effect u wanted to use
Master Duel 🤡🤡, honestly despite it's problems, it can help you understand alot of cards interactions. There's Nexus which which are automatic so no ruling issue or shark. Other than that, there's should be a Konami official rule book. Finally, search up that specific card ruling.
Ah, yes. When my opponent uses an effect from a card used as a discard, or cost in a middle of a chain. I do be dont like that. Encountered a match in my locals where they used Arc Light's second effect after using the first effect to chain block it and their negate not get hit by a negate where a Baronne is live to negate said Arc Light.
Look, normally I'd always take the side of the worker over the boss...... but the fucker is playing Yugioh at work.... it's kinda hard to justify that.
He wasn't banned for answering the door, he was frozen for being AFK repeatedly. Most online games will give you warnings or ban you for that. If you don't have the time to play, don't play. If you have to go away from your computer, just leave the duel.
