The one thing I embraced during the whole shutdown was taking my boat to a launch and seeing them empty. So many times I had a local lake to myself. What a way to commune with God and enjoy the peace.
Ike, this series NEEDS TO BE ON PRIMETIME SPORTS TV!!!! Not only would it show the public just how serious and hard-working pro fisherman are, it would expose elements of this sport that only a few know. This series would inspire so many!!! It has inspired me!!! You have inspired me AGAIN!!! Bless you, my friend. You are a true legend in this sport!!

There are so many life lessons to be learned here. When you put your heart and soul into what you love and bring the intensity you did day in day out - for 30+ years - something had to eventually give. It has definitely been an emotional ride so thank you for sharing with us your remarkable career and more importantly- your life Mike. Never Give Up!!
The pandemic brought us much closer to the family, I had time to teach my 6-year-old son how to catch a zander/walleye. Mike, you said it, fishing has connected us a lot with nature in the pandemic. Thanks for the info, you're a great man. Greetings from Romania!
Congratulations to you and Becky for being able to take an adversity and use it in your advantage to overcome difficult times and providing the change you felt you needed. For someone who is "seeing" from the outside, and only knows you through "the screen", it all felt very natural... like your natural path, a pause that preceded an expected high in your career! Also your return to BASS was something many of us expected and hoped for! Thank you again for sharing all with us! Never give up 💪
love it Mike!..i dont need to tell you this but..you are so blessed to have a true partner in Becky!sharing lifes burdens with a trusted companion is a special deal!thank for putting this series together pal!would love nothing more than to spend a hour in a boat with you!the crazy thing is,a few years ago,you were in my area and fished a place called long lake.in northern illinois,i would have loved to be there!
I remember someone told me in 2019 that he got a tip that we will have a pandemic. The tip came from a politician . Not sure how they knew but it scarred me. And I'll never forget that. I admit the stay at home order in my state drove me so mad that I went down to my favorite pond and fished for 6 hours. I hadn't done thst in years but it got me thinking and I enjoy the time spent with my family and freinds whom love the great outdoors.
Another banger Mr.Ike, if you can not do what you love anymore, without having enjoyment doing it. You have to ask yourself is it worth it. If you don't step back, you can start to despise what you love. I believe you made a great decision. Keep up the positive, vibes, and awesome videos coming. I know you said only 18 in the series, but I hate to see it end. Maybe you could whip up a extra video to the series. Anyways best wishes my friend.
