This tip was the bomb. After deciding to make seven curtain sets for my remodeled RV, this five minute video to saved me hours! Remember to use the right thread. At first I used what I had-thick hand embroidery thread. The weight on the rings, and they snapped quickly. And there's always seems to be a couple of ring stragglers that just don't line up and need to be re-done. This video is a Major Time saver!
I found you just in time. Making Roman shades soon and it’s been about ten years since I made them. You are a great refresher and should be easier this time around. Thank you!
Feed that ring on after you have pricked the fabric, run of the length of the shade, then go back to the base and tie off. Pull slightly to the next ring and tie, trim, then proceed. Much faster!
Scott, I would love to see you make a video showing your process for making top-down Roman shades. I appreciate your concise, clear directions! I have 17 windows in my bedroom to dress, and as it is an upstairs room I really want them to be top-down, or if possible, top-down/bottom-up. What are your thoughts? Thank you again for minimizing the superfluous comments.
