Its shocking how rey never headlined the biggest event of the year. The guy's been a fan fav since the very beginning.....and also his in ring abilities would have been a spectacle.
Punk is definitely planned to remove himself from this list sooner rather than later. with his gripes about the Main Event being one of his main pain points in him leaving the big Dub in 2014, he definitely have a plan to address this in his contract. His promos against Rollins showed as much and the endgame is definitely a night 1 main event slot.
Even though Eddie Guerrero will never main event a Wrestlemania, at least we will always have No Way Out 2004 to cherish and remember that feel good moment!❤❤❤❤
CM Punk should have main evented WrestleMania 29, Rhea Ripley should have main evented WrestleMania 39, Ric Flair should have main evented WrestleMania 8, Rey Mysterio should have main evented WrestleMania 22, and Eddie Guerrero should have main evented WrestleMania 20.
I agree on all but the Rhea one. The build to Rhea and Charlotte was pretty underwhelming, and the Tag Team title story was very deserving of the main event, it was the best story in the whole company not involving Roman. Rhea got the semi main event which is nothing to scoff at, and had arguably the best match at WM. She's still very young though, she'll definitely main event soon.
@@thegreenpianist7683 the tag titles match still evolved Roman Reigns even if he didn't interfere and Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair actually deserved to main event WrestleMania from a statistical point unlike Bianca Belair vs Sasha Banks ay WrestleMania 37 which had a worst build up.
I don't think Rhea should have been included still a bit early in her career, she really didn't become so over and evolved until after joining The Judgment Day. No denying that she'll soon be headlining multiple Wrestlemania's.

A video of superstars that never main event a WWE pay per view would be interested!! Cause to be honest WM is once a year now twice is slim chance!! But a wrestler that never had the chance to main event any of the other shows is harsh!!
Punk literally said he did not care if he lost he just wanted to be part of the Wrestlemania main event so him vs Cena vs Rock at Mania 29 could've happened still have Cena winning the Title but the crowd doesn't have to die completely and the crowd can be happy with a good match and that Punk was in the match but Vince being Vince somehow couldn't see that
Would of made cena winning sound better considering the two people he lost to were punk and rock between 2011 to 2013 it would of been a full circle moment that’s for sure

As much as I want Bayley to finally get a main event match at Wrestlemania, it’s definitely not going to happen this upcoming show in 2024. Night 1 will probably be Rollins vs Punk and Night 2 will probably be Reigns vs Rhodes

To be fair with Rhea she was hot during the road to wrestlemania last year sadly the Sami Zayn Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes saga vs the bloodline was the hottest angle at the moment
Glad you remembered Kevin Nash. Out of this entire list, I would say he has the biggest case that he should have main evented Wrestlemania 11. LT wasn't staying, so he didn't need it, and sadly the WWF did nothing with Bam Bam after the show, so he didn't need it. Wrestlemania 11 is partially remembered as one of the worst shows because of put a celebrity match above it's own top title. Nash vs Michaels could have been a really good match. Give it 10-15 more minutes, plus tell Shawn to stop trying to tire Nash out early on. We might have gotten a classic main event!
Ric Flair didn’t main event ‘Mania because his peak years weren’t in WWE. Other than that year and half in the early 90s he was in WWE, he was already considered a senior wrestler by the time he made WWE home.

I think you should have did a whole of who should have closed the show of mania instead because of a lot of the people on the list it was not realistic. Rock vs hogan should have , Austin vs rock (19) should have, punk vs taker at 29, just a few examples
Rhea vs Flair should've been the MainEvent @ WM39. SamiKo vs usos was meh with 20+ super kicks. being there live the roar of the crowd spoke for itself
*Dean Ambrose should’ve been on the list. I’ve been saying this for like the past almost 8 years and I will never stop saying this: Ambrose should’ve main evented WrestleMania 32. In early 2016, he was at the height of his popularity as the hottest babyface of the company. He was clearly way more than Roman was who is still being heavily pushed as the incredibly unpopular corny babyface. WWE really have the chance to strike when the iron was hot and he also had an incredible match with Triple H at Roadblock 2016 (which is an incredibly underrated match). If only they had that match be the main event of ‘Mania 32 the crowd would’ve gone home happy but as usual, WWE drop the ball by sticking with their precious golden boy Roman, which resulted with him and HHH POSSIBLY IN MY OPINION, THE WORST ‘MANIA MAIN EVENT EVER. If flair savage doesn't count as a main event there's not a single night 1 wrestlemania main even that was a main event..... In the same way Eddie and Chris both becoming champions and having their moments together was literally the main even of wrestlemania 20

I completely disagree about Punk main eventing over Rock & Cena, specifically in 2012. Rock vs Cena was the biggest match to book at that time. You put Jericho vs Punk on last at Mania 28, the crowd would end up dead, just like with Mania 18 with Jericho & Triple H. Rock was the one drawing the buy rates when it came to Wrestlemania 27, 28 & 29. Not Punk.

Wwe’s supporting him so much they’re using him to drive home their new tv rights deal. AEW has jungle boy and, irrelevant bucks, and the talentless cowboy and might have an uphill battle for tv.
