I love your channel …. Very helpful . I am so glad that there is somebody trying to help us without charging us to buy a book or a pamphlet or some pill that they support. I absolutely love the way that you talk to people and that you are firm. They are feelings and concerns and worries you are exactly the kind of doctor that I would love to have and that everybody should have.
Great advice! My 81yr old mother died in 2019 from uterine cancer, she had been bleeding and didn’t tell us and by the time we found out it was too late, she took herself to the Dr, she was active and got around pretty good, she had been going to get her mammograms and other check ups but not the obgyn, she knew something was wrong, I guess she was scared, so sad, I miss my mom😢
I went from 180 down to now 110 without trying. I use to have night sweats not having to do with menopause. None of my doctors picked up on it to do any testing. It’s scary. I’m literally skin and bones. I’ve had bloating too that made me look pregnant. I did do a genetics test a few months ago that showed I was born with something called alpha 1. I told my new primary doc the other day and she says now my medical issues make sense. I did the test on a whim. Never expected it to come back that I have it but it explains a lot. Being dxed with copd when I’ve never smoked, weight loss, liver issues etc. I don’t know why it couldn’t of been dxed long before now. Now my family members are being tested cuz this could be affecting any of them and them not know. It. What’s scary is that this isn’t curable, it is treatable tho but only to the affect of things not getting worse.
@@DrJenCaudle my next step is to see my pulmonologist that I’ve been seeing for my pneumonia’s to tell him what’s going on. Even he didn’t pick up on it and he’s listed on the alpha 1 page as being knowledgeable in this condition. It’s just weird.
@@DrJenCaudle what sucks is that a few months ago I fell asleep standing up and broke my hip. And now I think I rebroke ribs I broke a few years ago cuz they hurt like heck and when I pressed on them they moved. I don’t think they are suppose to move! Not going to the doc tho cuz they didn’t do anything the last time. I’ll be seeing my ortho surgeon in a few Wks and I’ll just tell him.
@@marlalonchar3858 what sucks is that sometimes carriers have symptoms too. I have copd but have never smoked. I have liver issues but have never drank. I actually found out just the other day that my kidneys are only working at 29%. I can’t win! I had no symptoms whatsoever. Every time I see a doc I come away with more bad news! Makes me wanna give up, especially since I’m not getting any support from my daughter. Haven’t talked to her in over a year. Not even when I fell and broke my hip, not even learning about having alpha 1 even tho it could affect her and her kids too. When is it time to throw in the towel and cry UNCLE?? I might be there already.
This makes me think about the large amount of weight I lost about a year or so ago. I recall being about 245 pounds, wearing 1-2x tops and dresses and size 20 in pants, and about 8 months later, I was down to 160 pounds, and wearing large-1x in tops and dresses and size 14 in pants!! I have no idea how that happened, especially as I never changed my diet or lifestyle. I've been over 200 pounds for more than 30 years and was perplexed about the sudden loss, especially since cancer runs in my family. I've brought it up several times to my primary care doctors, but they don't seem to be concerned about it. Now, since then, I've started to put back on some weight, where I'm now around 195 pounds, but I'm still down in the inches where I don't look as heavy as I was before. Hopefully, it's a heaven-sent miracle and not something that my doctors have overlooked. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
About 5 years ago, I had a lymph node removed from my neck. I had 4 biopsies , but there was no discovery of cancer or anything else. It was the size of a golf ball. A couple of years ago, I was diagnosed with thyroid issues. I figured the swollen lymph node was probably a symptom of thyroid problems.
Dr. Jen thak you for the advicer regarding cancer signer I agree with you it is very important if I have and see any symptoms I need to go to the doctor.
I lost 40 lbs quickly with little to no change in habits. Wake every am with internal abdominal pain, which subsides 3 hrs after waking. Also, have massive abdominal temperature rise, mid section sweating that wakes me often. I have seen many specialists, had every scope and scan possible, and countless blood and urine tests! Yet here i am 3 years later with NO answers. Yes, all the symptoms still occure and have progressed. I now take pm meds to sleep, prescription antacids, pain meds to cope and yet NO answers. Can you suggest ANYTHING??? Im so sick of Dr appts, scans and tests only to hear, literally "I dont know," from top physicians in their field. Im 50 yrs old, male and used to be extremely active and healthy until this hellish experience began. Now there doesn't seem to be much of me left... I would appreciate any advise you may have! Thank you and god bless!!! Erik
I’m so sorry to hear this and your doctors would be the best to tell. I would say if you’re not getting answers with your current doctor consider finding another one
I WAS TOLD BY MY DOCTOR THAT I HAVETO GET A THYROID BIOPSY . MY QUESTION IS WILL THE THYROID START GIVING PROBLEMS AFTER ITS TOUCHED BY THE NEEDLE IN BIOPSY

Can you help me please. The small node doesnt bother me its just there and no where else on my body.
How come we can look to the food and drug administration to regulate foods when they're the same administration that gives passes to laboratory made chicken and meats?
