If your HDL cholesterol level is 50 or less, dryness can be a symptom. Mine was 47 and it was a problem. Raise your HDL cholesterol with dark green leafy vegetables, fatty fish like salmon, omega 3 supplements, etc. Prevents dryness and dizziness.
good to know, worth a shot, im miserable that my lil girl isnt functional anymore n that makes it even harder to find a "partner, as for olive oil etc,,,,,,,,,,, who knows if the containers were well sterilized, etc, anything manmade,,,,,,, spooky,,,,,,,, personally i bought KY dont know if it will work cos ive got no one to "practice with, at 35 my obgyn advised me to have more sex but with all STD's etc,,,,, i was always careful w "partners, so,,,,,,, i had sex maybe once a yr or every 4-6 yrs, so even that i had high libido, it was w my Self only,,,,,,,, i do wish and always did that i had a responsible,,, Good man but wasnt in the cards for me SIGH!!!!!! it was horrible to have such a high libido and no one to share with but its worse now to not have any libido and even worse vaginal dryness and still no one to cuddle,,,,,,,,,, theres an old saying use it or lose it! i guess thats me,,,,,,,,,,makes me feel like i wasted an entire life,,,,,,,,,,,sigh
YES VERY HELPFUL! I wish there was a to address issues like this without having to talk about it in person with the doctor bc it can be embarrassing. I think I will go with water based estrogen cream. Thx again!
I've gone through vaginal dryness. It's no joke, it was mentally draining and very painful. I couldn't move without feeling pain down there. I couldn't even plan to go to the store without making sure I had Replens in, before I started the Estrogen. It started with me with low libido. I'm noticing some comments that seem like they think that the Dr. in the video is trying to tell them what to do. I can tell you that when you get vaginal dryness, you'll be looking for her videos, and listening very carefully to every word shes saying.
@@majsmarken118 I used Replens before I was approved for estrogen, but get Vagisil instead Relpens caused clumps in the vagina that make the dryness pain worse. I say I was approved because I had to have 2 sonograms, a biospy and a DNC, before they gave me the Estrogen cream. They had to make sure there was no Cancer present before they gave me the estrogen cream. YES!! The estrogen is a life saver!!!. NO MORE PAIN!!. I couldn't get the bio identical estrogen, they only have that for the rich people, but I am on Estrodial estrogen cream. I am on a dose of 1 mg of Cream every 2 days now. I started it was everyday, but as your vaginal walls strengthen, you may find you can use less. I use 1/2mg every 2 days now, I do have some discomfort when I use a full mg, none when I use 1/2 a milligram. I prefer the cream, some people like the vaginal estrogen tablets, but the cream is throughout your system, which helps with wrinkles and energy, the pills only service keeping the vagina moist. Also the cream is more beneficial because as we age, when our estrogen decreases, we are more susceptible to Alzheimers, which is why I use the cream and not the vaginal pills. I gain so much information without you constantly repeating or speaking slowly as other sites torture me through. I’m so happy, so blessed to have found you and your knowledge! I’m 65… female with a husband very interested in me; I’m just not any more since I’m aging. I’ve seen my OBGYN - o n a medication for testosterone to relieve severe dryness and a lack of intimacy . My partner has a large instrument I use to accommodate regularly with great success. Now - it scares me to think of trying to be with him and we love each other. Menopause and having autoimmune Sjögren’s cause dryness and many women find they can’t use HRT due to even worse side effects. Thank you for mentioning Sjögren’s.
Everyone's different, I heard of a girl in her 20's who went through full menopause. I have a daughter who's soon to be 45, she has been warned about all of this.
Thank you for this. I’ve had this condition my whole adult life, since my early 20’s. No one ever addressed it or told me that birth control pills and smoking could be a cause. I only smoked briefly, but there was no change when I quit. I got lucky and was part of a clinical trial for cervical caps so I got to quit taking birth control pills (they made me psycho) and still no change. Lubricants with aloe and hyaluronic acid have helped me improve over time. Also an oil based suppository once a week.
I can’t believe people are recommending using vegetable oil to use as lube. We shouldn’t even be consuming that. I found coffee and dehydration was the culprit for me.
As a two time cancer survivor, I want to add that my Doctor told me that I cannot under any circumstances use anything that would replace or boost my estrogen, not even organic and natural remedies, or over the counter things, because of the type of cancer I had. So please do like she says and always ask your Doctor that knows your full health history.
I wonder what benefits would there be in providing nutrients, vitamins, rich dense vegetables, and fruits to the body while restricting processed foods, sugars, and stimulants at the same time... Having less acid producing foods like meat, chicken, and seafood in our diet can help most people atleast in 2 week cycles. I said that to say in agreement with you, but also in addition, the diet is essential to health and wellness because it defines everything being injested in the body on a daily basis. I do suffer from dryness , for me I feel it's age related. But I'm using "Membrasin ". It seems to help but not to sure. My husband says he can tell the difference in how I feel. Which is funny caus,e I'm looking to feel wet and I don't. But thank u for this video cause I never thought of all those other reasons would have been a factor
This is informative. It saddens me that I may be going through this. I’m 44 and had weight loss surgery in 2022 and since things are out of wack. I am probably perimeno though. Index is rough and while desired avoided bc I’m dry. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

HI I have vaginal dryness, it's been 4 years now. It's not getting better. I've tried hormonal cream,and doesn't help. I am so tired of this,I could just have it removed. That's where it gets me. Breast cancer goes into bones cancer at the same time my period stops. My virgina is super dry and my doctor recommended replends to help with virgina dryness. My last period Oct 2019 surgery for breast cancer Dec 2019, bone cancer with spine cancer 2020.

Appreciate the info, I would’ve like you talking about foods that increase vaginal lubrication. I know doctors don’t normally talk of food/ nutrients e.g. omega 3…but it would have been good to hear your input. I do know of these food items/nutrients but others may want to hear your perspective

I'm 63 and have Sjogrens. I'm uncomfortable all the time and constantly feel burning. Not a lot is known and treatment can be difficult. I've been divorced since 2005 but use to get constant yeast infections and during sex would often end up spit and bleeding. Sorry if this is a bit TMi but bet I'm not the only one. I didnt know why at the time.
My OBGYN suggested Vitamin E capsules broken w sterilized pin. It helps. I actually had some bleeding & went to urgent care. I thought I had blood in my urine. 🤦🏼♀️ How embarrassing. But better safe than sorry I guess.

I'm currently having this and I'm 46...not sure if it's part of perimenopause. I just had my period and started feeling this. I even got a urine culture test to rule out infection. Thankfully, it's normal but I still feel uncomfortable 😢

I have not been coupled in years; however, I have experienced something that most people are not accustomed to or familiar with and that is ‘ telepathic sex’. I and my partner are distant from each other and on one occasion this month I experienced this for the first time in my Life. It was mental, emotional and Spiritual as well as sexual. I noticed that I was wet which is something that I have not noticed in a long time in regards to my body; however, I have also noticed recently that I have periods of ‘dryness ‘ and I wondered what might have caused it. You answered my question. I had given birth to my last ( possibly) child and I had a “ bi-lateral tubal ligation “ done and when I was awakened by the anesthesiologist , he said ,” They took something from you.” I found out later by two other doctors that I am missing my Left ovary. ( The Doctor had my written consent to do the tying of my tubes but NOT to remove anything.) So, that is what is causing my vaginal dryness. Thank you. 10:32
I have Sjogrens Syndrome which has wreaked havoc on my body from dry eyes and mouth to causing trouble with my muscles and my kidneys. It's also caused issues down south. A lot of ppl aren't familiar with that particular auto immune disease.

However if you go to the gynecologist, I don’t think they understand how the immune system effects that area ,so what can you do to get help from your gynecologist? What should they give you. I take compounded hormones and can tell not All drs are versed in the total vaginal health.

Make sure your HDL cholesterol level is 50 or above. Otherwise, your diet may be too low in omega 3 acids causing dizziness when you stand up as well as dryness down there.

I was not prepared for dryness. I could go outside with no panties on, in 100 degree weather and it be dry as a desert😂 It was itchy/irritated and had me putting Vaseline down there to get relief. It would get dry after my periods all of a sudden. I knew it was probably hormonal. I've had amenorrhea for years and went to doctors but they couldn't tell me why I wasn't having regular periods. So i started exercising and eating better and it went away. I get a little nervous after periods now, because I'm worried it will come back.
