Something is definitely playing with their minds, those monsters aren´t so physically real as they believe them to be. But I don´t want them to be just imaginary. The mother knows more than what she´s telling them, that´s for sure. It looks like a post-apocalyptic world and I find that really intriguing.

This looks so intriguing, I can´t wait to watch it. I need to know what´s happening!

looks awesome, but i dont get the premise. did ropes or the whole world turn magic? wy does a simple rope help against what ever? did the whole world succumb to a curse? if curse magic is involved, everything becomes kinda arbitrary and silly. will stil watch though XD

What I believe is the full synopsis of this movie: The Mother (Halle) is insane. Either those aren’t her kids and she stole them or those are her kids and she escaped from a psych ward. Ever since they were old enough she has told them stories about this dark evil creepy awful world full of monsters and demons because that’s the world as she experiences it. because she’s crazy. But really they’re just people trying to get the kids to safety. And lock her crazy ass up. She has them attach themselves to the rope so they can wander off just far enough so they don’t feel trapped and determined to escape, as all teenagers do. But not too far so they reach the mainland and get back to civilisation. I think by the end of the movie they’re going to realise she’s been lying to them because she covets them. And they might try to kick her down that well we see here. Which is also why the one kid is being dragged because she doesn’t want to let them go. But she’ll be stuck down the well and they’ll escape back to civilisation and possibly their father. This is a predictable premise but the execution is what’s important.
