That's how your supposed to feel. I go to Jack cause I want to feel those things. Sometimes I look for deeper meaning but most of the time I love the way it makes me feel.
8:06 NO NO NO! People said that too! But he DID said “Nothing I write comes random I put a lot of thought in my songs and I will never write a song with no meaning behind it.” Or something like that I don’t exactly remember how he said it.
80%of his songs have hidden deeper meanings, well.. not so hidden if we're talking about "dinner is not over" or other songs like these, I really suggest you watch more videos of his!
Don’t worry, jack stauber is the embodiment of a fever dream. Also he has a few more actual songs, such as buttercup, baby hotline and oh klahoma. Edit: woah this comment is a year old and I’m still getting responses. I’ll add some more to the list if you guys need suggestions since when I Made this comment I only knew a few Jack stauber songs Ballad of Hamantha, just take my wallet, Cupid, key man, dinner is not over, Coffee, Al dente, tea errors, those eggs aren’t dippy, and paper towels.
So peppermint from what I have read is supposed to be about a married couple. The wife doesn't know what she wants, that's why she doesn't know how to answer his questions. And the peppermint bit is like trust and betrayal, she asks him for a peppermint because she trusts him, but then she's betrayed by it being so spicy. Then the "Am I sleeping on the couch?" is a little joke about how she's mad at him so she's forced him to sleep on the couch
A Random pieces the betrayal doesn’t look like malicious intent by the husband though… you could say that it’s difficult for him to give her what she wants or please her when she doesn’t even know exactly what she likes. The peppermint isn’t symbolism for something deeper like cheating or anything imo. It’s just problems that arise in a relationship when one person doesn’t know what they want from the other. They almost paint the wife as the one in the wrong as well, like she overreacted by punishing the husband for giving her something she asked for, but ended up not liking, through no fault of the husband. So yeah, it’s still just a fun and silly video that highlights something about relationships.
He does make extended versions of certain songs, he also made two specials for Adult Swim, they’re very good. I definitely recommend his recent short “Opal” which the second short he did for Adult Swim.
Some of the songs in his short video's have a full song! For example Two Times is an actual full length song, Jack just take a part of it and make his clay animation with it. I am a bit surprised that you didn't listen to Buttercup, since that is his most famous song out of his creation, personally I really like Baby hotline, something is happening and Inchman, highly recommend them! Have a nice day to whomever come across this comment^^
OMG AH- I want a part 2 of this so badlyyyyy Jack has other much different types of videos and music and I would love too see him cover them- such as Rain, Goldie,Oh Oklahoma,Baby hotline and Buttercup
As a lover of jack stauber songs this was amazing to watch, I guess it’s an acquired taste lol. Also you horrified reaction to pick a flower was amazing ngl. Also two time has to be my favorite song of his, and I’m glad you reacted to it. Oh and as many people have said you should listen to Buttercup as well as baby hotline and coffee, they are all great songs.
Coming from someone who has herd most to all of his music, you should get into his albums more than his videos. These are some of my favorite songs from him all different from each other: Pizza Boy Ms. Led Cupid Theres Something Happening I Love You Verne Troyer Pressed Flowers Deploy Al Dente It's Alright Gettin' My Mom On Summer Sickness Runaway Rotten Apple He also was in 2 bands with some good songs: Hey! - Joose Kickback - Joose Galaxy Queen - Joose No - Zaki Jock - Zaki Please give a few of these a listen to really dive into his career !!
Jack Stauber is truly amazing. His songs, skits, adult swim episodes, and just knowing he’s there in the world helps me so much. I really enjoy being able to “see” him every day. I like sharing my enjoyment of his songs with my dad and sitting in my cabinet watching Shop: A Pop Opera trying to analyze it. He’s so talented. With his animations, stop motion, drawings, music videos, vocals, and overall creativity. He’s helped me.
Try listening to Zalinki's music - highly underrated 1. Tired of the noise - yt reupload 2. 6 feet - spotify and yt 3. Insane - yt repupload 4. Music for sad people - yt and spotify 5. Yikes - Yt reupload 6. Pretend - Yt and spotify and some more songs of his
No clue if you're gonna see this, but there's an artist that makes similar weird catchy songs named soddiken! If you do actually see this I would recommend Nothing Man and The Hansel and Gretel album
As someone whos insanely into Jack’s music (to an unhealthy amount) I really recommend listening to his more obscure songs and eps, you can find some hidden beauties.
Video man is singing about being in the video that he is currently singing in. " hi again, hi again, I'll say again... I am so jealous of you. You get to walk away." It doesn't really make sense until you've listened to it a few times and really mull over the lyrics. But he's singing about singing to you
Please try Goldie, New Normal, Dinner Is Not Over, and Good Morning Blondie - for his animations paired with music. If you want to listen to full songs, try his spotify as he often animates and make a video for only a section of a whole song. His music on Spotify is under 1) Jack Stauber and 2) Jack Stauber‘s Micropop. I would recommend two everyone else has already probably said which are Buttercup and Oh Klahoma, but id also really recommend Dog Nightmare, Inchman, Deploy, and The Ballad of Hamantha. If you’re seeing this, thanks for the great vids - your insight is really eye opening to the process of creating music, and different interpretations of songs’ videos and lyrics. Take care :)
my mans gotta watch opal. edit: opal, and shop: a pop opera. if you want his actual music stuff, watching the adult swim smalls are a good way to get them. hamantha is also a really good song.
If you didn’t get video man ( 8:47 ) It only makes sense when you repeat it but “Hi again hi again, alright I’ll say it again. I am so jealous of you, you get to walk away. I don’t learn to see a new time. same me, same sun, same song, same words, same words, same words, *same words* …. I am so jealous of you……” He’s stuck in the video and you are just sitting there watching it. you can leave but he can’t and he can do nothing about it.
I didn’t like how you didn’t listen to many of his actual songs like sure he has his micropops which are like 30 seconds to a minute long but he has a lot of actual songs to
I'd love if you listened to some of his full songs! These ones (excluding Dead Weight) are called MicroPops! From my understanding he writes short songs and if they get popular enough/he feels like it he'll make them into full songs! For example Two Time which you saw here gets extended into a full song that's much longer has more lyrics etc! Some more examples of his full songs are Choice, Ballad of Hamantha, Today Today, Tea Errors and many more! He also has some songs that are longer than these but still short in comparison to usual songs! For example the songs in his short films Shop: a Pop Opera and Opal! (Examples of these songs are Milk, Oatmeal, Paper towels etc, from Shop, and Easy to Breathe, Mirror Man, and We See you Opal Reprise from Opal!!!)
There are a lot of more full length songs like dead weight, although they originate from shorter songs he made that he elaborates on, and it's all pretty great! In fact, Two Time has an extended version!
Can you please make a part 2 and listen to Buttercup Baby hotline Coffee Milk And maybe you could even watch his pop operas, theyre fun ^^ Great video btw ♥
Video kinda creeper me out, even when I showed it to my friends. It's like, he's watching you and meerly wishing that he could be in our place and do whatever he wants. I kinda feel bad
so I think I’ve requested this some time ago but PLEASE react to dorian electra (they/them)!! videos I recommend (in this order, they all have music videos) 1. what mary didn’t know 2. mind body problem 3. (any of these) clitopia, vibrator, high heels or drag 4. jackpot 5. man to man 6. flamboyant 7. adam and steve 8. guyliner 9. gentleman/m’lady 10. egdelord if you want a video on who dorian is I recommend “dorian electra uses makeup to become a ‘genderless clown’ | face forward” :))
Jack actually *has* made two full length short films with adult swim, both of which are free to watch on youtube. They're both very good, and I highly recommend you see them!
A lot of the things that you listened to here are actually just parts of full songs, like Two Time. Also, he has other full songs that I think are great like Oh Klahoma and The Ballad of Hamantha. Those are really great, especially The Ballad of Hamantha’s animated music video. (It’s not creepy claymation! Yay!)
Try listening to some song on his older album Finite Form! It's quite different from his regular/recent songs now. I would also recommend: -those eggs aren't dippy -out the ox -good morning blondie -6b baby -tea errors also, how are you?
Jack Stauber makes a MASSIVE variety of music. It's kinda endless, until he ends. His music is meaningful most of the time, other times its random. As i said, variety.
A lot of people are mentioning that if you are going to do a part 2 then you should listen to baby hotline or buttercup but I think you should listen to some more of his underrated songs like: -Fighter -Dog Nightmare -My Plea -Coffee -Cunk -Ballad of Hamantha -Gettin' My Mom On -Tea Errors.
video man you sorta understand on rewatch, it's basically a self aware meta video about this guy who knows you're rewatching the video, and how he's trapped saying the same words over and over, how he's jealous of the fact that you can live a life separate from the video, but his entire existence is trapped within it It's probably one of the more chilling videos but he has quite a few equally creepy things. His full length songs are generally much more upbeat though if you dig that more
