recently started wathcing a lot of your videos and i like how you treat every video like its the first time someone has ever seen a glock. going over the safety and disasemly perfectly in every video where it is required and not assuming everyone is an expert. really makes just picking up on any of your vidoes extremely easy.
I've used this setup for years. I have a dedicated Glock 19 that I never take the reset trigger out of. I also use the Laser Ammo Laser system and targets. Great Product.
I actually got this reset kit a couple Years ago and could never get it to work properly with either my Gen4 G26 OR G19, Even after watching this video, ensuring everything was followed to the letter. Not a total loss, since the Laser Ammo laser worked. When I saw you post this video, I figured I'd try to make the kit work again. My kit came with 2 rebound springs. I figured the 2nd spring was an spare, in case I lost one. When the kit refused to work properly, I tried installing the 2nd rebound spring behind the 1st on and guess what... Now it works properly!!
I love regardless what he is illustrating or teaching, it starts with safety check first. He does not touch on the subject for a second, but he throughly goes over the safety check. That’s when you know you are watching the right program.
500 could buy you a gas blowback high quality Glock clone that literally mimics your real gun and would probably even fit the same exterior accessories.
I oppose you all :) $500 pays for itself in just a few trips to the range. I understand going to the range is very important but dryfire practice is extremely important also.
I started with the ITarget system. And that alone improved my sight picture and draw speed by a lot. These dry fire systems are very cool, especially when zeroing a new optic. Some overpriced for sure. BUT the usage without spending on ammo makes it pay for itself after so many uses. Great tutorials as always sir, thank you.
After watching 10 of your videos, I was inspired to get a pyramid trigger, a pure tungsten guide rod, a Holsoun PID, a lighter slide, a threaded barrel, and a suppressor along with the extended controls, the reset stiker assembly and I'd love to get the pistol caliber carbine until I realized that my $375 Glock 17 gen 3 just went to $3,000!!! LOL!!
This video deserves way, more views likes, and comments. As a new Glock owner the amount of information provided in this one video is astronomical. Thank you so much.
@@sleazykilla360 → I found the "right" Glock. It's the Walther PPQ Q5 9mm. People who truly love guns don't usually put Glock at the top of their list.
I used the reset trigger, magic bullet, and their target sets to prepare for my SC CWP. Zero shooting experience. Went to the range for a lesson once, then took my test. Thanks to the dry fire practice, I passed with flying colors. Highly recommend.
I like this company. I've been a repeat customer for what feels like since early 2000's, but DRYFIREMAG for dry fire ALL DAY!! And yes, always check your chamber. Post dry fire exercises and cleaning are where most accidents happen.
Lenny, you are a Treasure Trove of Glock Info.! Glad to see your making these Videos and Helping people along the way! RE: the Dry Fire, Firing Pin Mod,,, sounds like a Nice idea to put on a Spare, Training Glock Upper, used only for that Purpose. That's the Upper you give to the Bad Guy and dare him to Shoot you with, kind of of scenario! Keep Trucking Lenny!
CoolFire has a CO2 system that cycles the slide, and gives a little bit of recoil too. Haven't tried it cause they don't make it for the G2C, but heard good things. For my gun, I have the MantisX10 which is pretty awesome.
I use a Umarex Gen 4 Glock 17 with Green Gas - it has a LaserAmmo Recoil laser as well as a Mantis X - gun and laser were purchased at Laser Ammo. Hitting a Laser Ammo target while being graded by the Mantis is amazing and has made a huge difference at the range.
Both of those systems are great tools also. I have the Mantix for both pistol and AR 15. I met thé CoolFire owner and had dinner with him at last years NRA annual meeting in Houston. Great product.
Thé MantisX is another great product. I often use it in dry fire training. I also utilize the LASRApp computer software system as well. It gives me feedback. I see where my shots have landed in the targets. I can save my training sessions and analyze my progress over time. And I can do all these things on my home kids present, wife present, safe, draw from holster concealed, no problem. Shot timer, magazine alert to change mags. I can set up Steel Challenge courses of rire in my garage or den. Utilise multiple cameras at the same time. I can vidéo myself as I draw and shoot. IDPA targets, steel targets, USPSA Targets. This system rocks.
I have two of the small targets that come with the Laser Ammo laser stuck on the back side of my front door. I can see my front and back doors from my living room and often practice with my glock from the couch.
Ty this is the exact thing i was looking for help with. I was so focused that when i kept racking over and over, i didn't realize i was skinning my thumb with my nail on other hand as i was reaching across!! Now i have a boo boo and it burns😮 lol.
Imo, a double action revolver or DA/SA revolver is honestly probably the better move if you have a stock polymer pistol that isn't some racing-gun. I improved so much off of a long trigger pull and learning to hold it steady throughout.
@@johnr9296 sure, I don't care if it's a polymer gun or not, I was just focused on the merit of DA/SA over buying some gadget system to improve your trigger pull. I don't even own a revolver even though I do own a Beretta
A mile stone In target acquisition and elimination...Im am not a enthusiast But recently became a gun owner...I am Blown Away at this Modern Marvel....Lenny Im glad to have met you on RU-vid
A good system for dry firing. I only wish it had been available when the UK was allowed handguns. I used to sit at home on non-shooting club days dry firing. Watching the sites. Seeing which way I pulled the sights as I practised. I had a Sig-Hammerli P240 and very quickly broke the firing pin. Which was replaced under guarantee. The second firing pin never broke. I presume I could import a converted Glock into the UK as it is not possible to fire live ammunition in the Converted Pistol.
I think changing the trigger completely obviates the point of dry firing. The point is to learn how the pistol's trigger behaves. I dry fire with a laser round. Only have to pull the slide back about an inch on Walther PPQ Q5. I shoot with both eyes open so the non-engaged eye sees the blip on the target I have hanging down the hall. I use a red dot.
I was opening a Ruger once and a spring flew out across a messy room. Somehow I heard it bounce off a few things and found right where it landed. As in the video, lost it would have been a mess to get a replacement of the exact size.
iTarget is also over priced. Amazon has the laser rounds as well as the reactive laser targets that beep and count the hits. The lasers and targets, separately, are around $30 each.
Check out the Coolfire Trainer. For me , this is pretty slick for in the house tactical dry fire . You still have a bit of parts swapping but to me , it's worth it for what you get. And , packages are from a slight bit cheaper to , way higher. Just depends on what you want.
Dry fire so much starting to get arthritis, wearing out RSAs, and have to re-oil slide more often! Dry fire does improve better handling of firearms so much more though!
Best option in my opinion. Built one for a friend, because I can't afford $100s for a laser... but it works great (and don't require an expensive, specific holster).
@@joshuaborem7063 The kit comes with its own slide release that acts as a toggleable on/off switch. And it's ambidextrous. It's from a company called Lasermax.
@@joshuaborem7063 I may be mistaken but once you use the slide release as the toggle to turn it on it stays on until you turn it off. So it has nothing to do with trigger pull
Well produced video. The contraption will appeal to certain people and that's great. I couldn't help remembering the golf training Crotch Hook to keep your head down. I'm sure it was extremely effective also. LMAO
Who has time to swap all that over just to do some dry fire? Unless you have a dedicated firearm for leaving this installed in, it seems like more effort than it's worth. Get something like coolfire trainer instead. Quick barrel change and you're done. Plus, you get a reciprocating slide and still train with your actual carry trigger.
When will you make one of these for the 43, 43X and 48? These small carry pistols could use this, IMO, more than the full sized frames for shooters wanting to practice with things like laser bullets and MantisX products. While I have a number of the larger frames, I'm not buying this for those until one is available for the 43.
Might as well swap out, for a lighter trigger, new guide rod, mod th barrel, plunger, striker ass,and a personalized stop. While you have the whole Glock taken apart. Thing is'you gotta do it 1more time to get ready for bed.
Gotcha. Lenny please hire more inventory folks, I have made several calls and am always promised that my order will be coming soon... it has been several weeks.
I never fully rack my slide while dry firing, if you understand how Stryker pistols work, you can just take your hand, shove on the end up the slide/muzzle, and it will reset the Stryker.
Cool invention, but the need to change parts is impractical. Newer gadgets exist now to accomplish the same reset-trigger purpose without the need to modify the gun.
Systems that have you rack the action create training scars Ala the newhall incident which occurred in the 1970s don't create training scars train realistically
I was told by the employee at the gun store I bought my Glock19 Gen5 MOS that I shouldn’t dry fire my gun because it will damage the striker fire. If that happens he said I would then have to replace the whole slide. Is what he said true? That I shouldn’t dry fire my Glock19?
Right. You can literally buy another glock!! lol.. They are greedy as hell knowing damn well those parts don't cost NEARLY as much to make compared to what they are charging.
What I hate about this is, that you have to reinstall back everything after you're done dry firing. Is there any other system where Glock needs not to be racked again when using this laser bullet? Or can the reset trigger stay there for good so it can be used both for real and laser bullet?

@@VinnyBully where you getting your information? We have ammo everywhere, no shortage here. Actually 9mm Blazer 114 grain is $13 box .45 is $26 10mm $28 556 Green tip $13 We also have CCW, I have mine. Only mag restrictions and limited gun roster. Other than that it doesn’t have much affect on training and going to ranges. The big restriction is mag capacity and limited gun choices. No mag restrictions on mag fed shotguns or bull pup shotguns. Great weather out here too! ☀️
It's a good system, for sure. But two questions... does the trigger pull feel exactly the same as when you live fire? And, for $500 it had better have wide ranging compatibility, because that's expensive.
It’s OK. There are literally millions of half-wit Gun-Goobers out there who will gladly sell their kids to own one of these things. They’ll probably make a fortune! 😂😆 I just hope the instruction manual is printed in a giant, all-caps Sharpie font-like Trumpy 50.0. 🤣
Can I use this dry-fire system with an empty magazine inserted? My reason, I have a G43 with an extended mag so I would like to train with that same grip/feel.
Will removing and replacing those steel pins in the polymer frame over and over again, say 2-3 times a week, cause the holes in the frame to loosen up over time?
does this work if you have a timney trigger? I would prefer to practice with the trigger I would be using in a competition vs an entirely different trigger set.
I need one of these and my birthday is the 10th of November it would be amazing if y’all would give me on ! Well it’s worth a shit everyone like this so they see it
Do I really need a reset trigger for my Glock 21 gen 4? Disregard that question. I am typing while watching. You are converting a firearm into a practice weapon with a laser. My G21 is a carry weapon.
