@@BlueShellshock You got hushcarled. Jokes aside, The only way a Briton can beat a Goth is to deny stone with absurd Feudal pressure. Force the barracks spam that archers can easily kill.

Agreed. I saw his "longswords are OP" video, and of course, there was a mega mangonel attack-ground shot that killed a bunch of enemy archers. It wouldn't have worked without the longswords (there were pikes to mop up), but it also wouldn't have worked if it hadn't been a Viper mango shot.

@AlphonsePride well the battle of Agincourt saw english longbows used against french knights to great effect. The french had superior numbers, but the longbows proved to be a greater match despite the french superiority. So I made a historical reference when I was saying that if Daniel was playing as the Franks it would’ve been more historically accurate. Then again Franks weren’t necessarily French. It encompassed lots of germanic tribes and other peoples, but I digress. It was just simply a reference from a historical standpoint.

There are a lot of parallels with Agincourt here. Firstly, the victory was about more then just the longbows. They had fortified their positions with wooden stakes in the ground (sort of like how Viper quick walled his archers) and it had recently rained so the ground was muddy. The French cavalry were thus slowed from the mud (kind of like Teuton cav in this game) and could not charge the longbow formations due to the stakes and mud. The advantage longbows gave was initiative. The English didn't need to move from their positions, but the French could not sit still anywhere on the battlefield because it would rain arrows. Indecision on the part of the French also played a part, (sort of like Daniel just running circles around the longbows instead of committing to a fight) the French had a opportunity to charge the longbows before the stakes had been deployed but did not take it. When they did finally charge, they did so with reduced numbers because some of the Knights had wandered off/deserted.

I did it with FULL Paladins. With cheats :P

Conversely in real life it would be impossible to coordinate a group of 30 archers to all target 1 knight on the fly.

That would make ranged units completely overpowered. Watch one of Vipers shorts on the Barbarian AI where they micro their ranged units to attack individually. Opposing army completely melts.

You can do this by micro and if you press stop button on your archers they shot all diffrent targets. Hope tou can subscribe to my youtube chanell for this tip :)

Longbows are a little inaccurate so they simulate mostly hitting one target and spreading their missed shots.

@@l3ucl1 weird negative perspective that is not the vast majority of pet owners during covid. There have been huge decreases in pets in pounds during covid. You shouldn’t always look at the glass half empty. Just because a small portion returned it doesn’t negate the positive outcome here.

Also people have pets in place of children where they can't conceive or have other issues.

Tbh, Viper would've just sniped them lol. And with Daniel going for Paladins, and his eco a complete mess, he wouldn't have the gold income to afford the upgrades.

But not against Villesse in semis. I wonder if viper could have reached the trebs with garrisoned rams or seige towers? Also, i want to see a pro player wall in the relics in dark age!

@Robert Rowe Maybe so, but honestly if you can get a few warwolf trebs on the field its pretty much GG just imo
