There's an unwritten rule amongst adventure motorcyclists, most people know it, but some don't. By the end of this video you will know exactly what that unwritten rule is.
Poley mountain is a major ski resort situated 10 kilometers outside of Sussex New Brunswick. Poley Mountain was chosen as the final obstacle of the "Nova Scotia Dualsport and Adventure Riders" route during the 2022 "Fundy Adventure Rally Reunion".
Trail Trash ADV is Nova Scotian based and home of the Cabot Trail Dualsport and Adventure Motorcycle guide, available for free on www.TrailTrashADV.com

Not everyone is a social person so they ride alone because that’s who they are, can’t change that just taking extra caution and being prepared is about all you can do

I've nobody to ride with, but then again, I don't ride in mad places like that. Good job getting the bike up that hill after having to stop, I was holding my breath for a good bit just watching.

well.... I ride a klr650 and ride alone the grand majority of my time. I knew before I even delved into riding that going alone was probably not the best idea. But.... I'm also 25, 6'1 and quite fit. I would not recommend anyone much under my size to take a 650cc up single track, you just won't have the size, arm length, height and weight to maneuver the beast and most definitely not alone. I ride in Alberta, Mclean creek is my favorite spot for dirt bike trails. The single track there is amazing. This video is easy sauce OHV trails, the kind that my KLR grows board of real fast. I get some odd looks when I whip by little 250's and even 450's "What the heck are you doing up here with that bike?" I'm usually quite amazed myself! You did not dissuade me haha but I'll do my best to find others to go with, but I'll go anyways if I don't. But the thing is...... when you decide to do single track on a big adventure bike... you will put yourself and your bike through the ringer. Smashed plastics, ripped off foot pegs, dented skid plates, bent foot brake and shifter levers, break the bolts on your bark busters/handle bar guards, and the list goes on. Also when a 400 pound bike lands on you, its a bit of a bugger to hoist the thing off you, especially if your pinned. You risk a lot going alone.

I do it all the time. Very risky. I tell, for example, a motel owner, if I'm not back by a certain time call the sheriff.

You can ride alone ( I do) most times……but you must know your limits, and must prepare for the worst ( water, food, tools, clothing-gear).

Great video, but your "on bike" camera angle makes it hard to watch. Its like walking while staring at your feet. Would be much more enjoyable if we could see the trail ahead and what you are riding into, as well as lead riders. Just trying to be helpful. P.S. I am going to subscribe to your channel, looks like fun.

I was frustrated with the outcome as well. Definitely issues with cropping and horizon levelling with the GoPro Hero 10 (when you’re climbing a mountain the horizon is the trail at your “feet” lol). As per the usual, I do the best I can with the minimal resources that I have. Always have an open ear for respectful constructive feedback 👍✌️. Thank you.
