The man is telling untruths. Southend was the constituency of Sir David Amess, who was sadly stabbed to death by a rabid immigrant in 2021. So I suggest the local police are failing in their remit to protect and serve the public.
Well the msm will defend Keir and Labour until they decide to report on them then we swap to the tories and round and round we go…democracy sucks 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏾♂️
So this new law no machete ,are the police going to attend houses and places of worship to forcibly remove these from their owners from 100 percent of the population ? House to house searches and destroy them ?
I live in Burnley, Lancs and we had 2 Bulgarian men fighting and 1 had a Machete and the police were called. Half the street was watching and the police denied that there was a machete. They are absolutely complicit in the lies the GOV are pushing. The are at this stage aiding and abetting certain communities in their crimes.
This is why the country is a mess. Councillors are dweebs that have never been in a fight because they haven't mixed with the everyday man and just lived in a bubble. We need councillors that grew up in the street, because they know what goes on in tgs streets.
This guy sounds like the MP for Huddersfield. When the public complained about violence. He told everyone he would prove it was safe and went out on Saturday afternoon with the police and a radio crew. Didn't have the balls to go out on his own 1 am Sunday morning on cross church street.
"Individuals coming down from London." What's changed about London? None of you have the spine to name the diverse enrichment which is making EVERYWHERE worse.
Not me!! Southend has Also been deluged by Immigrants.....I say it how I see it!! I live in Southend it's a nightmare.....ive moved from East London in 1988....now I'm sodding off to Suffolk.....we're just being pushed further afield....because of this Crap coming here!!
@@PaganPunkduh... what do you think they just blow a whisle and everyone stops fighting and goes home. How many cops do you think are on duty in Southend at any one time, I bet its far fewer than 20 and I bet they woukd all be out and about working. It takes time to get more officers form other towns..
Please don't lie Matt dent .I was there Monday never again .police everywhere drunk teenagers families ppl on beach leaving rubbish everywhere ..the smell of weed was bad .full of teenagers like in video .a lot came from Stratford I was in train with them coming back...I've been going there since a child it's my local seaside..a woman was smacked in face on train we could not leave them the behaviour on train was shocking..never going back again ever stop lying
I have lived in southend for all 39 years of my life. How it is now, is far from what it was when I grew up. The councillor has lived here 10 years & had only experienced southend at its worst, so his comment about it not being any worse, is because he has never seen it at its best. With weekly stabbings, I don't think the place is safe any longer
this councillor said it wasn't happening and it was just like anywhere else, then later when he was shown the video he said they were coming by train from London, he cant accept that most are locals, the drug dealers arrive in BMWs & Audi's with the Boom-Boom music blasting, it's the teenage girls and boys who follow the drug dealers around who arrive on the trains, this councillor is in denial of the facts, I bet he has never been out the house form Friday tea time until Monday morning for the last 10 years unless he had a police escort, he will sit in his house door bolted shut drinking his Chateau Mouton-Rothschild and eating his Camembert du Bocage, he said everywhere is the same Not true, Fort William in Scotland hasn't had an arrest for social disorder for 8 years, there are hotels there but they only use them for tourists, and there are no asylum centres or halfway houses, it is like stepping back in time to 1960s, people wander around aimlessly eating icecreams passing the time of day and casually talk about the weather. . .
I grew up in Southend, in Southechurch. It was a nice area. A school friend of mine told me about the issues with dealers hanging around areas we used to play in as kids. Guess what? They are not white Brits.
These used to be great seaside towns back in the 60s and the 70s and 80s even the early 90s and then Blair came in and took all the good times away. These places are like African and American ghettos know sorry 😢 to say. 🫵🏽🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇬🇧🇬🇧👍🏽
Moved out of the Southend area 2 years ago into the Suffolk countryside and it was a vast difference in peoples attitudes. Was in the Leigh On Sea area and it was aweful for crime and violent crimes. We had 3 stabbings down the road in old leigh, stabbings on the broadway and one guy was beaten to death in shop entrance area late one night and not to mention the MP David Amess being murdered at his surgery. And so glad to be away from the area as it is a far cry from what it was when i grew up there.
I moved from Westcliff on sea 5 years ago to Wales as I could see the changes happening ...I have no regrets as I live in beautiful countryside and a peaceful village ... I'm so sad what's happening to Southend and the surrounding areas and to most of the Uk 😢
Sad really my old auntie used to live in westcliffe at the time it was a lovely place my brother lives in Leigh also was a lovely place but last time I was there it was already getting not so nice old Leigh was lovely
Just look at it! Welcome to our future under Stasi Starmer's regime. The Tories aren't any better either. Him fobbing it off and saying that Southend isn't any worse than anywhere else in the country, does not fill me with a lot of confidence.
I agree, and the fact that this councillor implied that these Knife Arches are being employed all over the country tells you what a catastrophic state the UK is in.
I lived in Laindon in the 80's when David Amess was my local MP. When I moved to Southend David Amess was my MP there too, how did it go for him???? I moved out 17 years ago and I don't miss Southend at all. Now it's happening where I moved to, where do I go now?? It seems to be everywhere these days
You must remember the Evening echo, colloquially known as “ The glue sniffer” as it would alternate each evening with a photo of David Amess on one night and the next night it would have a picture of a white youth with his head hovering above a plastic bag full of glue, this seemed to carry on for a couple of years.
Snap I'm thinking of moving again, this time out of UK if lucky. If not I'm really unsure where to go, for normal people good areas are way to expensive, shame I used to love laindon Basildon Southend canvey o the bootsales the gypsy horses land, the football grounds, shooting range now all gone house's, visited my old street it's mini Romainia it's funny how they house them but not keep the natives who paid into the system local
I have lived in Southend for 30 years and it has got so much worse in recent years. I will probably be arrested if I say why but its not safe anymore. Even as a man my GF worries about me going home late as drug users and a specific type of people will try to rob you. Also even in the day time I have seen people doing Heroine on the street ffs! Full of crack heads and alcoholics and always some horrible fights or stabbings going on. In one week a few weeks ago every time I came across crime scenes on the way home 3 times in 7 days.. Everybody I know who is educated and has the opportunity is looking to move away as they have changed the place for the worse!
Southend Born and Bred mate. There are certain areas in the City -especially near the Bus Station where the Alcoholics and druggies go that are the worse. As usual the councillors in their ''Ivory Towers'' are not bothered.they still get a wage and expenses regardless of whether they do action anything...most are full of wind .. But I must admit I think in this case it was a few Londoners from different postcodes having a ruck - what is more worrying is the reason behind it... Drugs or disrespect or something else. The knife Arch at Southend Central in my opinion will fail as all they will do is send someone ahead to see the arch and they will get off at Southend East, Victoria or Westcliff instead
Mate, I can tell you're legit telling the truth as an ex-Southender for 10 years myself (2000 - 2010). It was hardly a Eutopia back then, but nowadays? I went for a weekend to visit friends on my birthday last year and I thought I was in a sequel to 'I Am Legend'. And Westcliff might as well be the new Luton FFS.....
@@SAS-vx1jk Yes these are the only two media channels that remotely challenge the establishment narrative. Guess that makes them "Far Right" so expect an Ofcom crackdown probably.
The question you should be asking is why. Why do you think the police officers feel they have to police one group difrently to another? Id bet its not the officers Id bet its not the leaders Its peopel just like you. too willing to let thr press and poititions hang officers out to dry. did you ever speak out in support of officers when they got into trouble after the press jumped on the instatuaonaly racist bandwagon Id bet you didnt Id bet you just said racist cops £@£% em
Tbh the damage is done, our villages are swamped, given citizenship because of m nim countries they come from. When something is gone it doesn’t come back so it’s over. Those with money will leave the rest of us will live in the twilight zone.
the Tories were responsible for closing great swathes of industry from 1979 to 1997, notably coal mines, engineering, etc from which the North has never recovered from. Labour from 1997 to 2010 wasn’t any great shakes and had their deficiencies Don’t look to such public school boys like Farage who was a city trader and skanked money from the EU as an MEP without going to meetings and pals up to Trump.
Sorry to disappoint the Councillor but not all towns in England have this issue. I live in a Seaside Town in the North, this has never been a problem, but then we don’t live close to certain communities.
It is the same in every major town and city throughout this country and all due to excessive immigration which is mostly illegal and unchecked. These immigrants are bringing their 3rd world issues with them and the authorities are indifferent and complacent if not also complicit in regards to how these issues should be dealt with!!
Same here. 25 years ago Blair was already filling up B&Bs in seaside towns with 'asylum seekers' from Afghanistan and Kosovo. We began to see a drastic change back then. People have conveniently forgotten his role in all of this. I moved out in 2003.
And I. Had a flat in Westciff and regularly walked down the seafront at Wescliff and Southend. Back in the 90s before the town suffered from "cultural enrichment" and the obvious blessing of multiculturalism.
@@ChristineRead-ck1uq I come from Southend and remember when the Kosovans started moving into the town around that time. One mugged my dad’s elderly mate. We were really shocked at the time. Now look at it! I loved living there. Glad I moved away years ago
There's around 8 Bulgarian men moved in next to my parents in they 60's,😢, they hng around ALL DAY EVERYDAY neverr worked a day ,playing loud foreing music, throwing beer and cigs everywhere and working on cars in the driveway for a funeral home, police will do nothing. I HATE THE UK AND THE TRAITORS WHO DID THIS😡 0:52 😡😡😡😡
Notice he says that word, "unacceptable", a few times. This is the same language used by Common Purpose graduate, Cressida Dick, when BLM were rioting in London, in March 2020.
This guy is talking about how peaceful Southend is during the day, you need to see what its like of a night mate once the youths are out having been drinking all day its like the purge. We never had knife arches when i used to go out clubbing/drinking in Southend back in the 90s/00s into the 10's its all down to culture change and music although no-one wants to admit it
So he disagree with locals and reports but in next breath I do get a lot of complaints about drugs and anti social behaviour which the police do a great job controlling Is he for real
Having lived in this area for over 30 years it’s definitely worse than it was and the demographics has changed dramatically. I wouldn’t venture out after dark and avoid the sea front at weekends. I rarely venture into the High Street for the same reason. All the shops have phones linking them up to alert to shop lifters in the area, nice one Southend Council have a lot to answer for the failings of this Town yes Town it’s ridiculous to call it a City!
How can the police reject something people are saying they feel? I have friends in Southend because I grew up there and I've seen so many of them posting to avoid places tonight, tomorrow etc. People reporting the seafront is empty on a sunny day because no one goes like they used to. I wasn't allowed down the seafront as a teenager 20 years ago because it wasn't safe then. Southend is where I waa nearly abducted in a van by 2 Turkish men. On the road that runs parrallel to the seafront. That has been a very well known danger zone for DECADES! The fact that they are refusing to even acknowledge that is INSANE.
I feel sorry for our decent young people who can't go out without being afraid.Yes like somebody said long prison sentence for carrying knifes and for drug pushers.
@@run2cat4run I wonder why that is? Are you aware of what's been going on in Yemen? Nigeria? Egypt? Russia? China? And a host of other places. Your own country? Not Islamophobia, IslamoFACT.
Scroll back a few decades ago when people.used to take their families on holiday to Southend to stroll along the prom eating fish and chips with their children happily playing on the beach .
There are loads of vids on here, of Southend from the 50s and 60s and 70s. Families enjoying the seaside and the attractions. And not a single Brown face to be seen!
@@timgstar3585 exactly this. If they can 'get tough' with those who are concerned over mass immigration, why can't they do it with this? Zero tolerance is what has been needed
20 years and labour would let them out after 6 weeks to make room for others , if you get a sentence you should serve the full term and not be let out earlier
The rules on carrying knives have become more & more strict over the years, but it isn't the carrying of knives that's the real issue. The real issue is a cultural one, where many people believe that wielding machetes in the streets is acceptable... Unfortunately, this view now appears to have spread to our two-tier police.
The clown says Southend is no worse than anywhere else then says he regularly gets complaints about anti social behaviour and drug crime,so everywhere in the country has lawless behaviour regularly, great that makes me feel very reassured 😒
On that July evening there were numerous social media posts inviting people to a 'Beach Party'. A youngster told me that was teenager talk meaning a 'punch up' so it seemed it was pre-arranged !. It seems the teenagers have their own language...apparently 'allow it' means 'don't do it ' and all sorts of codes they use. Just glad I am in my 70's.
Speaking as a person who has lived near and spent my youth in Southend I am horrified that this phrase Southend is no worse than anywhere else. The behaviour shown in this video would have been unthinkable in Southend at one time. Have we become so numb to accept this as a common occurrence and resign ourselves to saying don't worry Essex Police are doing their best ?
I live near Southend. It isn’t safe anymore. And saying it isn’t less safe than anywhere else in the country isn’t really a good thing. Few places in the UK are as safe as they used to be.
Goodness me, a cabinet member for culture and tourism saying that something that might affect tourism isn't happening. Should we believe him? I don't think so.
I lived in Southend from 2008 to 2013 and never saw anything like this. I must also say that there seems to be a lot more people whose “culture” is to act like this than there was 15 years ago
London hasn't been safe for over two decades. Two members of my family were mugged 7 times between them. My son averted an attack using win chun that he learned as a result of this.
@@Simon-py4qy He did. He was walking a way behind my other son, who had someone jump on his back and try to stick his fingers/thumbs whatever in his eyes. My younger son did a flying kick. I assume it was his win chun but nevertheless my eldest said he didn't know what he would have done if he hadn't. If you don't believe it that is your problem.
moved to rural scotland many years ago. no regrets... It's like watching a very slow train crash. interestingly the foreign language speakers wearing head scarfs have started appearing in the nearest town. it will come here eventually.. my advice is have at least 3 children... if you are not then YOU are part of the problem
So the people that actually live there are wrong are they? I cannot stand people who know absolutely nothing about these situations but preach a narrative and an agenda all of their own.
Southend was never like this. Used to go and watch Southend United on a Friday night and in the town center on Saturday, never felt unsafe, Tots was probably the most dangerous area in Southend in the 80s. But then they came and it turned to shyte.
Go up north and see who is stabbing people and displaying anti-social behaviour. Making the lives of the local residents a living nightmare! You are deluded if you think this is just a black issue!
