10:06 I HAVE A LOT OF THINGS TO DO TOO! (finding late animation on VHS being one of them). BTW I think many labels had branded cases until 2007~2008ish, many labels didn't bother anymore in the last couple of years and used the brandless ones.
September 2010????? 🤯🤯🤯I can’t believe my eyes… These videos are awesome! I have what might be a silly question, but what is the quality of these vhs compared to earlier ones when they were the main home video format? I ask because with audio cassettes towards the end I feel the quality of the tape and the plastic itself both got a lot worse and they sounded worse, so I was wondering whether the same happened with vhs tapes? Similar to how those late bargin bin dvd transfers are super ugly video quality. I would be interested to know if there were any changes like this over time to vhs! Love your work, please keep making these fascinating videos thank you 🙏🏻
Hmm, I'd say the video and audio quality is pretty good, perhaps better than older tapes, but the cassettes themselves are cheapers I think, some could break or crack easily if dropped. Same goes for some clamshells. One last thing, the magnetic tape itself could also snap more easily in a VCR if it was exposed to mold that solidified and fused part of it inside the reel or is exposed to tension or sudden stop when rewinding.
