Never spray when breeding succulents. From preparation to management
In this video,
To breed succulents into leaves
Explains how to prepare, how to water, and how to care.
Today, I'm going to explain how to prepare succulents to grow into leaves
First of all, to multiply into leaves, you need a succulent leaf.
This is one of my succulents that I prepared in advance, and these are the leaves of a newly purchased succulent.
This is an old leaf and this is a fresh young leaf.
However, because it is a newly purchased succulent plant, I am sorry that even the old leaves are just for use.
You can prepare the leaves like this, but to prepare the leaves, you must remove the leaves from the succulents.
First of all, if you watched the video about 30 days ago,
Thirty days ago, this was a fleshy plant that had been shaped like a pinecone.
For those who haven't seen it, I'll watch the video 30 days ago.
Thirty days ago, pine cone-shaped succulents are now wide open because they were filmed and brought to the room and grown.
So it was raised in the state of lack of light.
Many people would think that if they grew succulents, they didn't grow, but they intentionally raised them for growth.
At first, if you put a pine cone-like thing in the shade, the fleshy plant grows little by little as the leaves grow to grow.
It's going to open up a little bit later and then it's going to open like this.
If you grow more in this way, you will grow a lot like this.
Most people don't like to grow like this, but if you grow it like this, it's easy to pick leaves.
It is also easy to grow like a bonsai.
It also makes it easier to pick leaves, and then picking leaves will help you to pick them up without damaging them.
Let's pick the leaves of this
You can grab the leaves and twist them a little bit.
Pick as much as you need
And I recently bought a succulent plant of the spear type, [Echeveria agavoides sp.].
Most people think that only the pine cone-shaped Echeveria agavoides sp. Didn't raise this wide open Echeveria agavoides sp.
This is also raised in the room for 15 days.
If you grow more in the room, the center will grow and become like this, but now the leaves are dense and you can't remove the leaves.
If you take off the leaves now, the leaves will not fall off and will break.
So I am planning to grow more and pick up leaves.
The reason why these kinds of succulents are expensive is because they grow slowly and do not reproduce well.
This is Echeveria cv.Western Rainbow, which is an old leaf.
It is better not to use these old leaves as much as possible, and I will pick a little young leaves.
The pretty (Echeveria cv.Western Rainbow) also grows well with leaves.
Succulents do not necessarily mean that all are multiplied by leaves.
This is Cotyledon orbiculata cv, but Cotyledon orbiculata cv doesn't grow well with leaves.
I'm not sure if it doesn't work or not at all, but in my experience it's zero success.
(Cotyledon orbiculata cv) The reason why gold is so expensive is that it is not easy to breed. It is also very slow to grow because of poor photosynthesis due to pigment deficiency.
But because it is beautiful, there is demand, so it is expensive by the law of supply and demand.
This is Sencio haworthii, which, too, cannot grow into leaves.
Succulent plants that cannot grow like leaves are usually cut and planted.
When the leaves are prepared in this way, you will need a bowl to grow them.
You can use a plastic bowl like this,
You can also use the lid of a styrofoam box, but use a bowl with no holes at the bottom.
Depth of about 5cm is suitable and efficient.
Of course, deep bowls are advantageous in terms of root development.
You can also use these seedlings, which have the advantage that the plant will not be stressed when transplanted later.
When using seedling plate, you can cut as much as necessary and use it together with the base.
First, put the soil in the prepared bowl.
I just use compost, but if I buy and use soil, I use 100% cultured soil.
The dirt is ready.
If you look at the state of the soil here, you will see that it is not completely dry and contains enough moisture.
The best condition is that it contains moisture and keeps your hands clean.
In this state, the leaves can be grown on the soil.
However, it is better to lay a thin layer of coarse sand on it.
If you layer it with coarse sand and form a layer between the soil and the leaves,
It can protect the leaves to some extent from the bacteria and microorganisms contained in the soil.
You just need to apply a layer of coarse sand. I don't have coarse sand, so I'll use ocher balls instead.
You can spread the soil below so you can see it.
Then put the leaves in order.
If you put all the leaves like this, you are ready to grow into leaves.
You can put the leaves nicely in the shape of flowers, but they can look good but are less efficient.
