Script for Mark: “I’m feeling good, and I’m REALLY grateful for you helping me become a better rider, Rich. Many guys watching this would be super stoked to get all this one on one coaching like you’re giving me.. so thanks!” But seriously, thank you both!!
@@IRCTireUSAMoto Rich: “Sometimes you eat the bar (bear); sometimes the bar eats you.” Mark: (thinking) “I can’t believe I pay this guy actual money for this…”
Every trail rider out there should be watching this. This technique alone will save you so much time and energy. Not to mention the holes in trails and rubber on your tires from all that spinning.
Another amazing video…for me your the best teacher…English is not my 1st language but you always made/make your video tutorials very easy to understand…thank you so much for giving us free lessons…hope to meet you 1day…more power and be safe always
OMG, love it. What a great Tool in our Chest Belt to go along in the mysteries Hardenduro world. I also want to mention how “priceless” your Boss act as the “silent Bob”.
Another amazing practice video! This series has helped me so so much and gives me plenty to think about as a new rider. Thanks very much and please keep them coming!
This is a great drill! I practice this exact technique on a big loader tire in my backyard and it’s amazing how easy it becomes to get up and over the tire when you use that perfect amount of front brake, clutch, and throttle when driving your body forward. And it looks cool so that’s a bonus.
Hey Rich.I am new to riding dirt bike,i went on my first mini trail ride nothing to difficult.I have been watching some of your videos for the last 2 months if not longer.I just want to say thank you for your tips and good content👍it has helped me so much.I told my bff about the IRC tire guy.And he watched a video of you doing the double blip,he is addicted now🙈.Keep up the good work be safe much love from S.A🇿🇦
this is 10x more difficult than eps 1-7 combined ;). timing clutch & throllte when fighting for balance is a real challenge. and it is not a rel static drill as starting the ride in ep 3, but a dynamic one :)
If I found myself stuck in a 8 to 10in deep uphill rut with a root crossing it I would usually pull the bike back with a crazy reverse headbanger motion nearly pulling my arms out of the socket while gripping the handlebars. Having moved back a bit I would then gun the throttle with feet touching the ground and push the heck out of the handlebars like I was a powerlifter at the bench press. Think I will give this a try next time. Thanks for sharing love the videos.
Love the video series! I'm sure the techniques shown here are effective, however I think it would be more convincing for me if the obstacle was shown to be impossible without proper technique. In this vid there is plenty of traction to get past the obstacle without proper technique. Even when Mark misses the technique he is still able to clear the obstacle. Let's see some slick mud/clay with a wet smooth log crossing! Looking forward to the next one!
Well, I definitely don’t want to push Marc to the impossible. He’s nowhere near ready for anything larger than what he did. First, we need to understand how to execute the technique then you can go and increase the difficulty of the obstacle itself. That being said, you can go watch my other getting on stuck technique videos that I’ve done in the past and see some impossible size obstacles.
Good job Mark. Now get a script. Rich can have 10 bullet points. He can then tell you which bullet point to read to us. Just having fun. It was funny at the end when Mark was quiet and then patted Rich on the back. Good team guys. Keep these going.
My wife and two of my kids are like mutes it drives me nuts but my other kid never shuts up lol I'm always saying I should've had another one and they would have been perfectly in the middle hahahaha not! but hey one could always dream. Thanks for excellent vid once again!
Tomorrow will try after some cone drills...i see you wearing wrist brace....i order a leatt one just waiting for delivery, hoping help my injured wrist not losing strength during the rides....thanks from Spain🙂
I used this method all the time I Ride a RM 125 and I'll be on a steep muddy hill at a stop and have to get going again to get up the hill and use momentum and power to get moving again and get up the hill
Guess I need to move to Wales. That being said technique remains the same. Although in slick situations we slow the movement with our hips down a bit. The drive through the pegs becomes more important.
Rich’s unstuck technique helped me a lot, but when it’s really muddy and slick this trick didn’t work for me. Some mud where I rode is just insane. I was hardly able to move on the flat ground not to mention if there’s an obstacle. Btw, I have seen Jarvis and some riders adding extra weight by sagging their butt before moving their bodies forward. I think this would add extra bit of traction for this unstuck technique.
The technique slightly changes in mud. We don’t drive nearly as hard forward with the body position because it’s so slick. We have to drive extra through the pegs and minimize that movement forward to maintain tractable weight on the rear tire.
