A cool fact about the anime is that each of the episodes japanese titles is actually a reference to a Super Sentai Song. These are the refrenced songs in order of the episode number that they are referenced in. 1) Oretachi Muteki sai! Dairanger 2) Susume! It hasn't been really well explained in the anime even though by now it should have: each Divine weapon has Cartridges. Each cartridge has special properties to it. These cartridges are sometimes handed to the Ranked members of each Squad (Top 5 under the Keeper) because it allows them to fully kill monsters/fighters. Most of the cartridges we have seen are Blue's: the small lady (second in command) had the giant head that shot water, the one dude with the scythe had the acid power, the afro blue had the water prison jutsu, etc. We can assume that the remote from yellow, the jaw/mask from green, the wand/baton from pink and the fire dragons from red are all cartridges. So those are simply one out of four or fives abilities each Keeper could use. We saw red using the fire dragons, then he lost his weapon as a whole and the yellow lady gave the injured dude the red cartridge so he could use the gun with fire dragons, since his goal is to be THE Red Keeper.

Apparently the anime isn't doing so well over in Japan, so I don't know if a season 3 will happen (Season 2 is basically just a 2nd cour, so it was bound to happen no matter what). I hope Ranger Reject anime continues, because everything after this season is peak.

Red ranger actually seems hella intimidating. This was hands down my fave anime of this year.

This made me pick up the manga and I'm glad this will have another season.

It's feels like it's implied-- that most people are aware of his identity but choose to be quiet about it because he's the lesser of two evils. I feel like even Hibuki's sister knows a bit but chooses to be quiet cause she already knows her brothers motives. (Or possibly doesn't know when her brother was switched/denial ) Also Hibuki's sister and Koguma both had the same scene where they notice the sparks flying from his hand. So I was thinking that was intentional/at least from a story telling perspective.

Supplementary info/manga changes 3:32 - Back in Episode 1, the Dusters mention that they made a lion 7 years ago, so D was that fake Executive. 8:51 - Anime original scene of Dairyu’s first appearance as the JFR (acting) and Red being the worst. A certain scene was likely moved to next Season, so they can have it be a complete scene. In the manga, they showed the colorless rookies (Yamato specifically) had to say on TV that an invader killed Ishikawa and had to keep quiet about Peltrola. 10:47 - Another anime original scene of a Red member talking to someone and foreshadowing hype stuff and one more with a hooded figure listening to the radio. 12:39 - They don’t have the Divine Tool, just replicas (which don’t let you transform) and the Tool had the cartridges, so Blue Battalion only have the Dragon Gadgets, which can’t permanently kill a Duster. The prologue is over and now the real fight begins (the official Twitter for the anime even says that ‘the real action begins now’) next year. Bailong arc is considered the lowest part of the series (the arc is really long in the manga and the next arc is a shorter/normal length arc) and it’s only up from here.

Red Keeper gave me Homelander vibes from the start. Since Loser Ranger is a combination of Power Rangers and the Boys, I expected it.

I read this arc in the manga a few years ago and I think the trimmed it down a bit for the anime. Certain things are just going by too fast. That dragon gadget scheme confused me bcuz they all would’ve had to know they were fakes, no?? They literally watched the fake ones get destroyed lol
