Even though the anime isn’t great as the manga the story itself overall does get better. We get more answers about the world they’re in. It gets more sinister. GGLR being compared to The Boys is just a surface level comparison. I agree with others that it’s actually more comparable to Watchmen Also, it seems people failed to notice how green squadron hardly had a presence in S1. You’re curious about the Green Keeper? Hisui? Then S2 is for you.
I feel like they just wanted to rush this arc for the sake of season 2 starting at a better point, I wouldn't be surprised if the pacing is much improved in season 2. Even so Season 1 got the gist of the arc but some of the character building just wasn't there Ishikawa got pretty much nothing and Hisui's backstory got glossed over, hopefully Season 2 addresses this.
18:35 up to this day (including the manga) there hasn't been any sign that the monsters weren't the ones who killed his homies. Even though red is a piece of shit, he's not the cause of everyone suffer, the monsters are also to blame
Supplementary info/Manga changes 8:59 - They didn’t see him do this as his hands were hidden and they were far away, on top of all of this being improvised (Renren understood Hibiki/D from just a look, Hibiki/D told Peltrola at the start that he got the wrong person, and in the manga and Urabe asked how he had so many extra Dragon Gadgets, in which he said that there are still enemies around.) 15:48 - Can’t help that since he’s a Duster born fully grown and fought from year 0 and the war was 13 years ago (sorta like Androids from Dragonball Z having different appearances from their actual ages, especially Android 21 from Fighterz.) 15:52 - Back in Episode 1, they said that they used a lion in the past, so D was that fake Executive. 19:39 - Only if it’s a direct hit, which is how XX lost her arms and how D survived the first encounter, by exploding the dynamite before the bubble exploded. 19:57 - Episode 2 started with D saying that he won’t kill the lower ranks (like Konno) and just the Keepers (but he’ll still make fun of Konno’s hair.) We are finally past the prologue and now the series will truly start next year (even the official Twitter for the anime said that ‘The real action begins now.’) It’s only up from here (even added in original scenes foreshadowing a few things.) Edited - Fixed timestamp.
Seeing that tokita found part of red keepers weapon on Suzukiri, it looks like there might be a possibility of Suzukiri ending up smashed into a wall like red keepers JFC. I hope they don't kill her off because I know that if they write a fight between her and red, he's gonna win. If 13 years have passed and he hasn't aged at all then it's clear he's not normal by now. All the other keepers came and went.
Utter shame that Go Go Loser Ranger didn't seem to stay on many people's radars. I think the show is actually fantastic, from good animation and action scenes to the premise itself. I will say, this final episode was very disappointing to me (Blue's unceremonious defeat, how D just so happened to dodge the entire barrage of fish water bombs when his saber gave out, how XX somehow just walks away without issues), but it does do this show's traditions of creating more and more questions. There are so many threads hanging and it really makes your speculate and analyze on what is going on/might happen, which is the aspect of it that had me love the show the most personally.
@@浦晶 I don't think that's relevant, cause D literally stood there, yelling at XX as she ran away. He comes out of the rubble just walking slowly, turns into Sakurama and proclaims there are 4 more keepers to take out. Those 2 scenes feel utterly disjointed. I guess an argument would be that he hates Petrola but not XX, so he was disheartened to give chase
