Hope you enjoyed the 10 min long break down on the exact dodging mechanics in this game. They said it couldn't be done but Autism is great ain't it? This Video Took AGES! I haven't tried this hard on a video for a good while cause usually they fail spectacularly when compared to someone I slap together in 5 seconds. Hopefully this time, that won't happen.

Hey man, Thanks so much for the video my dodge skill improved massively. Now that I know you have two charges (two chances to dodge) it helped massively I wouldn't have noticed that if it weren't for you. Just so you know I have been playing this game with a ping jumping between 150ms to 250ms. Been able to dodge almost all my attacks thanks to your video hehehe. In any game I play I always try to check if I have a skill issue before doubting the mechanics of the game. Well even if I doubt the mechanics of the game I am always keeping an open mind that I maybe having a skill issue. There is this saying I was brought up on when I was a kid and it goes "A poor workman always blames his tools".

Its just to make sure okay, at least if i failed the counter i can dodge the attack, if i did get the counter and even if i didn't get the perfect dodge for extra dps its still a counter, its a winwin situation

Very informative. If I'm grasping it all, the tl;dr is: The dodge window is fairly generous, don't spam, you have fewer dodges than your stamina bar might make you believe, air dodge is a pro gamer move, git gud scrub.

The 2 charge mechanic and some other stuff taught me quick to slow down the button smashing in favour of applying more control and thought. This video taught me a lot of good stuff. Keep it up mate.

Definitely agree. I've had very little trouble dodging, but parries have been a struggle, and I've mostly just fallen back on dodging everything which I know is a DPS loss.

As someone who has played Sekiro and Souls-like game. The Dodge window in WuWa is very forgiving. It takes practice, but it gets easier the more you get accustomed to the enemies moveset.

its because its a mobile game with less than ideal inputs, they have to extend the windows to make it possible to play on a phone. Soulslikes dont have that issue so they can be more unforgiving

I can honestly admit that I lack the skill of this combat style. mostly because I'm kind of older and I have them good ol' arthritic issues and I use a special mouse which isnt ideal for gaming of this sort, but it's also due to the fact that it has been a very long time since I have played a game with combat anything like this. so I kind of feel like a noob. and it took me a really long time to even figure out how the Dodge worked so I thank you for this video for giving me more tips to kind of up my game a little because I really like this game and I want to do my best at it.

I abuse Zhongli and Layla in genshin, so dodging is one of my skill issues. I have been adapting well into the combat mechanics of Wuwa, this is my firt time hearing about aerial dodge. I memorized every attack pattern and the timing to dodge the attack coming from blind spot. If u want to learn how to dodge go fight the four lvl 100 prism SOLO. Also, the small arrow will blip twice before hitting u if any enemy attacking from blind spot.

Hadn't heard the rumor about switching characters to refill or refresh dodges, but i do know that using an intro skill upon switching can help reposition you and/or parry an incoming attack.

u can perfect dodge back to back the swinging of tree trunk by the big monke, its all about timing of dodge when the trunk just reaches you. But it is not possible when you game at 30 fps and lagging. I focus only on dodging without parrying as i play all my souls game and dmc like that =)

But please keep making these easy to digest videos. There is actually a way to get 2 air dodges If your first slot echo is one you can transform into, It resets your dodge. I find that it works best with dreamless, you just use your air dodge, press q, and then dodge again

1:03 nah I just suck at parrying and the opponents actually fake out your attacks in this game with the odd timing making you think you need to dodge but you end up dodging early and then they punish. It's irritating but it is a challenge and I'm glad it is because I like that I get to rage and learn from mistakes. Even if it takes me 8 tries to defeat the first boss outside the tutorial.

Switching "Dodge" does work, BUT ONLY when the Outro skill is available; and it doesn't really grant you invincibility anyway, just changes your position. Not to mention, said position is different for every character. So, unless you're fighting just one enemy (technically, you can do with more, but the chances of not getting hit are slim) AND you have an Outro skill AND said position doesn't put you under a club, it saves you from a hit. TLDR: It kinda works, but unless it's a last ditch effort (ie. Dash CD) it's not worth it. Just use the normal dash.

This video convinced me without a shadow of a doubt I'm not crazy. I was trying Tempest Mephis difficulty 3 hologram variant solo with MC and I was 99% sure sometimes my dodge just wasn't working. I then decided to forget the left analogue stick exists and only pressed R1. What happens? I beat it first try.

Excellent info, except I kinda feel like sometimes I have to press dodge way way way in advance of the enemy attack animation to trigger the dodge. Like against lampy, if i time the dodge when it lands during its jumping attack, i get hit. I have to press dodge when it’s starting to come down. Maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be, but it’s not that intuitive to me. Or maybe it’s just the input lag when playing on my phone.

Thanks for the video :). I think the major problem is to press dodge in time it need to. But the fact with 2 doges is awesome. A question about 22 frames for dodge. It will be less if I lower my frame rate, I mean reducing frame rate won't lead to increasing dodge safe time, right? Even if I know the theory, it's still hard to parry or dodge all boss attacks in time. I know about flashing circle before their attacks and the close range of it but it still hard for me to parry most of the attacks

I honestly had some doubts that the s from dodge start at frame 1 from some hits where I thought I started moving in the dodge direction and somehow still got hit, but hurray, it was just skill issue. As a follow up question, do you know what's going on when the game plays the perfect dodge sound but you don't get the perfect dodge and instead eat the attack?
