So, the song for this animation comes from a project currently being made by Jorge Rivera-Herrans, called Epic: The Musical. It’s a musical based on the story of the Odyssey. He’s got 20 songs out for it currently, with another five coming out on the 4th.

Oh brother, I cannot wait to see you dive into the rest of the Epic series, especially in order. Stargal dragged me into watching it and I’ve been hooked in listening to it since. So good.

Just a small correction: This isn't an adaption of the Iliad which concerns the Trojan War. This is an adaption of the Odyssey which is the other epic poem by Homer which concerns Odysseus' journey back home from the Trojan War. In actual poem this encounter never happens as Poseidon and Odysseus never come face-to-face and it was Laestrygonians, a tribe of man-eating giants, that ate most of Odysseus' men and destroyed all but one of the ships.

So this is a fan animatic from a musical currently in the works by a man named Jorge "Jay" Rivera-Herrans, who is turning the greek epic poem, The Odessey, into a stage musical. I cannot stress how much you need to see the full series of songs from Epic The Musical. Trust that you should find the order and listen to them. Theres are animatics for pretty much all of them, but 5 more new songs JUST DROPPED last night for the Thunder Saga. You will love every song in it, Trust.

I’m so happy you love this because there is so much more! You actually jumped in around the middle of act 1 of Epic the Musical. So you don’t have to go searching I have created a playlist on my channel that has all the songs/animations in order. The ones I put in the playlist are my personal favorites/recommendations. Quite a few of them are Gigi. Her animations are so amazing! This musical is still being created. It’s broken up into nine sagas. Five in act 1 and four in act 2. All of act 1 is out with animations for all the songs done. The first saga of act 2 is dropping on the fourth. Though it will take a bit for people to make animations for the new songs. The first saga (the Troy Saga) is the first five songs in the playlist. I really hope you start at the beginning and go through this truly Epic journey!

I don't know if anyone else has said this yet, but the entirety of Epic: The Musical is also on Spotify if you want to listen to it. Truly my favorite musical of all time, it's awesome!

I definitely recommend starting from the beginning. Ive seen alot of youtubers picking solo songs up through reccomendation, but man the adventure your right on the edge of could be amazing

So in case you weren't aware, animations that comprise of sketches like this are called animatics. They can either be meant as a rough storyboard for a more fleshed out animation, or in the cases with a lot of animatics (and for all of the ones for Epic) they're the finished animation. Also yes, I'm going to jump on the bandwagon of checking out the whole musical. Someone else already dropped a list of the songs in the correct order, so you can go from there. The next Saga in the musical was just released last night, so aside from some art and short animatics that went with the livestream Jorge held last night, those five songs don't have full animatics yet. If you do decide to start this, keep in mind Jorge and the team remastered the first two Sagas (Troy and Cyclops), so they're of the same quality and such as the third (Ocean) and on to the current, Thunder. Those remastered versions don't have animatics yet either, but you can still listen to them if you'd want to. The playlists of both the original releases and the new ones for those first two Sagas are up on the Jorge's channel. And finally, I'd suggest checking out a video posted by 4W Element Ender for the Thunder Saga. They clipped that portion from Jorge's livestream, and it contains short animatics that help explain what's going on at certain points during each song.

The next five songs for this musical actually just dropped tonight! If you get into this series, you'll have over 20 songs to listen to so far and many more coming in the future!

Watching the sagas in order is so good they JUST RELEASED the other day and it was so so good! All the animators in the community are so talented & it’s awesome seeing what they came up with and envisioned simply by hearing the songs. It’s simply *chefs kiss*

Epic is separate from the animatics. BUT Jorge loves these animatics and theyre basically cannon.

I'd really recommend watching (or better yet, reacting!) to the entire series with animatics - it's very good. The next saga releases in just a few days (not to mention all the original songs have been redone due to issues with the original studio screwing over the creator).

If you like this music you should totally listen to the musical in it's entirety! It's one of the best musicals i've personally ever heard!

Epic the musical is great. I’d recommend starting from the beginning with: the horse and the infant.I recommend Gigi sand wolfythewitch for most of them. Just make sure you pick the animatics that cover the full son, since some only cover parts.

Please watch "Epic: The Musical" from the beginning. It is insane. Incredible project and incredible animatics mage for it.

You still haven't heard any music from the Iliad, Epic is from the Odyssey. There's a lot of things mentioned in this song that tie back to previous songs, so it makes more sense if you've heard the whole series but your knowledge of the series filled in the important gaps.
