Nahhh I have two of the same mags, one in black and one in FDE and neither have any red lines on the springs. And they’ve never been messed with other than pulling out of the bag and loading
Tbh : as a PROFESSIONAL forklift driver person , I would have just took that for some kind of manufacture proof mark or consequence of the manufacturing process or something lol. I’ve always wandered about that myself but I don’t own any . I got like 20 windowless and I have zero ops so why buy more right lol
There should be paint on the spring that’s what you judge by.when you fire a few rounds it should line up with 25. I thought the same thing though when I first got one myself
you might not see any rounds in the mag after shooting/removing 15rds, but you do still see the orange mark on the spring indicating how full/low the magazine is which is still more helpful then not knowing how many rounds you have left at all like a standard p mag.@@xxxod

Thats a compensator line - on a full load when the brass can no longer be seen in the top of the window you still have ammo in the mag you just can’t see it because of the mag well so the powder coated line on the spring is marked below the full 30 rounds that comp line will be on 25 when you only have 25 rounds left or 10 so on and so forth
They line up correctly once you insert them into the mag well and pump the sniper button a few times. You might also have to cycle the shoulder thing that goes up once or twice.
@Adventure3Man you don't know about the sniper button? How else are you supposed to get a rifle that weighs as much as 10 boxes that you might move with to shoot accurately?

If you load 20 rounds in it, then look through the window and the spring arm that is matched up with the mark in the window labeled 20! This is the Spring arm that should be painted, if it isn't painted already...
I've seen people have this issue with cz .223 mags as well, you're not supposed to look at either the rounds or the follower, there's a line on the spring that actually shows the round count, you're not an idiot it's just not obvious at first

Except you're missing the point there is a marker on the follower size spring that you use to read those marks so it gives you an idea of how many rounds you have left
everyone is talking about the line on the spring , I got news for y'all , not all of them came with line on the spring , I bought 10 of them and only one of them shows a line on the spring .
