I paint the underside of my bases with Bondcrete or PVA, and that seems to work as well. I must say though, I do like your technique.

I have tried this and while it worked sometimes, sometimes it didn't and I only found out right at the end when the rest of the terrain was rock hard and there was no bending back possible :) Cheers for the comment - very much appreciated :)

Very nice. Love the Thursday videos. Nice tip -luckily my stuff is flat so I can just weight it - but this is great advice. Any particular clamps you recommend mate? Love to the family and yourself. Cheers!

Thank you very much Prof :) yeah, since I said I was going to do fewer Thursday videos I've ended up with loads of ideas for them :D So you can expect a few more over the coming weeks at least... Honestly any clamps will work - just make sure you use the same size for all of them as the base will end up sitting on the clamps and you want it to remain stable. Don't have problems with warping. I fix my bases down with screws, build the terrain, unscrew the base and fill the small screw holes or else I use sheet metal. Then when made I always store the terrain pieces flat!

This is a great tip! I'll look around for boards to use. Do you find that the clamps crimp the foam down very much? I've been using cheap dollar store foamboard, which looks softer than what you're using.

it really has helped me SO much; I now use cereal packet cardboard for basing and can get REALLY slim terrain which means more realistic and less wobbly minis :) It can do yes, but the clamped areas are waste (though you can save the offcuts and use them for packing and building up terrain on other builds so don't just throw it away if you use foamboard!) Best of luck - I really hope it works out for you :)
