During the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019 I have filmed the all new De Tomaso P72. It was the world debut of this wonderful new hypercar. Under the hood you will find a gorgeous V12 manual gearbox and only 72 will be made, list price is said to be US $800.000.

The car NEVER had a v12. It's always been speced with a Roush prepped and supercharged Ford Coyote v8.

@@shawnpritchard366most of the P72's currently running are prototype vehicles with a Ferrari derived F140 V12 engine that is heavily tuned like the one on the video and the same one on the Apollo IE (Same underpinnings as well because both brands was bought by a Hong Kong based company) the production cars are the ones that's going to have the Ford Coyote V8 and only a few prototypes or just one prototype has that engine right now.

It's the modern version of the Ferrari 330 p4, and I freaking love it. You can hear the apollo IE engine tho (wich is nothing bad in any way). Love this car!

The whining sound may be from the straight cut gears, this was the show car wich had the v12, most of the costumer versions will have the ford v8 tho

It's the same V12 from the Apollo I. E which is basically a modified Ferrari F12 engine.

As Eric above said, the 72 production cars will have Ford based Roush built 5 ltr supercharged motors making around 700 up on 91 octane pump gas. It goes back to the roots of the Detomaso Pantera. I had a chance to buy a Pantera in 1996 that sold at auction for $18,000 Canadian. My wife said no. I still have the wife but no Pantera. Damn!

Its Fords Mustang 5 litre V8 modified by Mr Roush. There is no V12 and if you hear the vehicle in the video above its a V8. DeTomaso is keeping with the Ford history of their V8s powering DeTomaso vehicles.

I’m SHOCKED! This car looks like it’s been hand formed and fit by one man, an English Wheel and a hammer. I’m reminded of my favourite Ferrari, (250 LM)...& the Lamborghini Miura. Could it be that this car is even MORE beautiful? That’s an unfair question, it’s subjective. The idea of a Super car w/a V-12 that’s reliable at that price and is THAT pretty, well...it’s something that I might never own but is arguably the most gorgeous high end super car for the money. Now, to WIN THE LOTTERY!! Nicely done, De Tomaso! Thanks very much for sharing this post.

Well they fucked that up. It's supposed to have angular body liines and an american v8 , also minimal interior no extras. And be affordable, like the original. The only thing Pantera is the badge that they bought.

I wish it was made in Italy… it has been made in Hong Kong. I apologize if I sound rude, but i cannot consider it a De Tomaso. It is a nice car of course, I like it, but I prefere the old De Tomaso cars (lmao I will probably never buy either of those… if I’ll ever will it definately has to be the Mangusta.)

Both Detomaso and Pagani are italian surnames infact they descend from italian immigrants and after returned in Italy the land of their origin. Both has italian descendants. So Italy > Argentina > Italy. Italian DNA.
