New 009 Scale Model Railway Build - Phase 01 Part 03 - Ratio Signal Box kit | The Railway Room

Today on The Railway Room, it's Phase 01 Part 03 of my new build 009 narrow gauge Model Railway layout - The Rheilffordd Ceunant y Ddraig (Dragon's Gorge Railway).

Today, I'm focused on building the signal box, using a Ratio 503 Platform / Ground Level Signal Box kit, with a Metcalfe PO580 Signal Box Interior.
Extra details: Layouts4U R62 Exterior Building Light, IBL10 Interior Building Lights with BLHwhite Building Lights Holders. The Red flickering 12V LEDs came from Switch Electronics on eBay. Additional items from ScaleScenes TX00a Interior Detail pack, and teacup is a pint tankard from Scale3D

Very effective, and the lighting shows off the interior of the building also . . . Signal boxes are well worth the effort. Signals look great too - but lots of effort there.

Thanks! I took apart the box from my first layout in order to add an interior, only to find it already had one but it was too dark to see it and I'd forgotten installing it! I decided lighting was definitely needed for this one! I've got some basic hand operated semaphores ready to go, but I'm toying with the idea of trying building new operating ones instead as I never bothered changing the ones on my last layout!
