@@Quarbit considering that Assyrian christians are an extant minority in Syria, I think they should be a revolter nation. It’s believable and more valid than forming the Roman lost culture. There are some other groups like Yazidis and Mandaeans that could warrant playing but idk if they had a state. Macedon should be formable Also, if you get the nationalism cb, become a revolutionary republic, establish the cult of reason, have humanist ideas and low clergy loyalty, then you should get an option to reform the declare a pagan pantheon. Then scaling with clergy influence you fight multiple zealot stacks of your old religion. You also go to war with the defender of the faith of your old religion. This would let people play as a Dei Consentes Rome. Maybe that way they are stepping on Imperium Universalis’ territory. South America is underrated, can’t wait to see what they do with it.

It's somewhat underwhelming because a lot of other tags seem to be actually able to go into their own unique alt-historical directions. The most that is fleshed out for Lithuania is just becoming Commonwealth, but with a different dominant part. You could not do that of course, but at the same time that would just feel like cutting off content from yourself. Which is a shame considering how much potential for alternative directions there were. Same with Poland really. Of course Poland can kinda go HRE direction, but still unless I am completely mistaken that tree still encourages going PLC.
